The Reds boss admits he is finding it hugely difficult to sign a quality forward within the restrictions of the club's Financial Fair Play transfer embargo – as they keep getting gazumped by other sides who are free to pay transfer fees and higher wages. Freedman has previously made some impressive signings on loan and on free transfers, within the embargo currently in place at the City Ground, but concedes he is finding it harder to repeat that feat during the January window. please log in to view this image While Forest are finding it difficult to sign players, there have not been the same problems for Watford head coach Quique Sanchez Flores. Pressed on team selection, the Head Coach admitted Saturday's trip to the City Ground is another opportunity to give important match minutes to a few players who haven't featured so prominently in recent weeks, while still ensuring the Hornets give themselves the best possible chance of progressing to the Fifth Round. "We have to think about everything, so now is the perfect time to take other players who are training well and who deserve to play. It is necessary for everybody to do their best and to have a very good performance," said Flores. "We always train with the full squad at the same level and the same targets and objectives. Every player knows perfectly what is their task in every single position, so we don't have an excuse. "We have to play with very good players so we will try to choose the line-up well, but all the players who go to the pitch will have my confidence." It'll be another bumper away-day following in Nottingham, with around 4,000 Watford fans set to make the trip, and Flores was keen to stress once more the vital influence each and every supporter has on what happens on the pitch. "I love them because they follow us during the season every time and it is amazing to think that maybe 4,000 Watford fans will follow our team again," he said. "I say it always, we are making a big effort every single week with an idea to show them that we have a big spirit, soul and ambition to transmit the dreams of the Watford fans. "They are the reason for everything, and we feel perfectly the support of the fans. They are really important. A lot of the time they manage the different situations during the match. Referee: Neil Swarbrick Linesmen: Jake Collin and Michael Salisbury Fourth Official: Carl Boyeson Match Day referee Swarbrick (Lancashire) is yet to officiate a Watford game this season. He has however already taken in 20 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 63 yellow cards and four red cards. Our FA Cup record at Forest is: 05/01/1946 Draw 1-1 16/01/1946 Win 1-0 David Vaughan is expected to return to the Nottingham Forest line-up following his three-match suspension. Winger Ryan Mendes suffered a knock during the goalless draw with QPR but should be involved. For Watford, Nordin Amrabat and Costel Pantilimon are in line to make their full debuts with up to six first-team players set to be rested. WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD ENJOY THE GAME
With the game coming up against Chelsea could our team look something like this against Forest? please log in to view this image
Nice one OFH, 5*'s from me! I am going for a 1-3 win to Watford, roared on by over 4000 Watford - first away game for weeks and so looking forward to it.
tough game --forest will treat it like a cup final ---b squad for flores, be hard to predict but i have a bad feelin bout this......
Whatever team we put out it will not be easy. Forest are on the up at the moment. A 1-1 draw and a replay we could do without.
Hi Kesgrave a warm welcome from me thanks M Frenchie for the fab thread! As Kesgrave said, this won't be so easy but, probably unjustifiably i can't see us losing...weird feeling that! lol. However, i'm joining w-y on a 1-3 prediction and am saving 20 February in the diary! (fingers crossed). I think the team prediction is a fair shout btw, it won't be too far wrong, if at all . I wonder i Suarez will ever turn up..and be ready for Saturday?
he was apparently having his medical at the training ground yesterday...but i'm not counting chickens til they're hatched!
Last time we street parked.... not so sure this time..... anybody got any good parking places they recommend?
Hi Yorkie - My mates parked at Notts County's ground the last time they took the beer bus up there and are planning the same today. You can use their supporters club for a beer and food as well and supposed to be good - might pop in there after I have indulged at Hooters. My train gets in at 11.30.
Thank you..... May now get train.... as Mlle Yorkie is having a waver this morning ..... last time we parked for free on the street.... but we were lucky....
A live stream is advertised here: http://www.stream2u-tv.me/watch/34568/1/FA-Cup-Nottingham-Forest-vs-Watford.html There will probably be others.
On the team I'd like to see Cathcart and Deeney on the bench. I know that ads risk but the Prem is a long way from done and dusted. And some of the new guys have bags of experience. But I'll take whatever Quique gives us because he is just such a great guy
Seems to be a big presence in Nottingham from this forum. Safe journey to all and hope you see us win
