    Nottingham Forest v Swansea City

    Competition - Sky Bet Championship
    Date - 29 November 2020
    Kick off - Midday
    Venue - City Ground

Following their hard fought but somewhat controversial 1-1 home draw against Sheffield Wednesday, next up for Steve Cooper’s Swansea squad is a tricky looking away trip to play Nottingham Forest who are in desperate need of some points.

Swansea City were held to a 1-1 draw by Sheffield Wednesday as Tony Pulis claimed his first point as Owls boss.

Wednesday were on course for victory after Adam Reach scored from a well-worked corner to give Pulis' team a deserved lead at the break.

But Swansea, who have lost only twice in the league this season, improved significantly in the second half and levelled thanks to a classy finish from six-goal leading scorer Andre Ayew.

Yet a disciplined, hard-working Wednesday display was enough to deny Swansea a fourth successive home victory and give Pulis his first positive result since taking over from Garry Monk on 13 November.

However, there was frustration for the hosts right at the end when they screamed for handball during a scramble in the Wednesday box but referee Andy Woolmer waved appeals away - a decision that confused and annoyed Steve Cooper who stated after the game that because he had concerns about the referee before the match he had even contacted the relevant authorities to voice those concerns.....

    Watch this space!

The draw meant Swansea stay fourth in the Championship, while Wednesday remain 23rd.

The previous evening, in-form Bournemouth claimed a third straight victory to stay a point behind Championship leaders Norwich City as two Junior Stanislas goals saw off Nottingham Forest.

David Brooks produced a superb performance for the hosts, setting up the opening goal inside three minutes as he clipped a delightful pass into the path of Stanislas, who chested the ball down and finished.

Stanislas' second, shortly after half-time, came from a soft penalty - Jack Colback being judged to have brought down Dominic Solanke on the edge of the box.

The defeat was Forest's second in a row and their third straight away loss without finding the net.

The Swans and Forest have played each other on 65 previous occasions, with the Swans winning 23, losing 26 and drawing 16.

Arguably, the most memorable match between the teams was the Play-Off semi-final second leg at the Liberty in May 2011 when the Swans secured a Wembley slot against Reading .... enjoy:

Turning to Sunday, I’m expecting a 1-1 draw but would dearly love a 1-3 away win <cheers>

Thanks as always Taff. I am feeling positive about this one, stupid I know but what the heck. I too would love a 1-3 as that gives me pole position in the prediction league :emoticon-0100-smile but I am going for 0-1

Thanks showing that clip again - great goal by Leon but why do I dislike Robbie Earnshaw so much.

Thanks Taff. We can win this one as long as we convert our chances scoring at least two goals and giving Grimes another rest as when he is left out we play much quicker than with giving us the upper hand hopefully.

To be honest if we had taken our numerous easy chances and not been so sloppy so far we would have probably picked up another ten points....this league is not as strong as the last two by any means....

Judging by results so far this month we will not score or concede more than one goal, so the possibilities are 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 or 1-1.

    Which one to choose?...0-1.

We do always seem to play teams that we should get points from, just after they changed their manager and are really up for it. Think this will be tough again and we will need to play a faster game as in second half v Wednesday.
Would love to see Garrick have a go.
