    Nottingham Forest v Swansea City

    Competition - Sky Bet Championship
    Date - 30 March 2019
    Kick off - 3pm
    Venue - City Ground

Following their brave efforts against Manchester City, next up for the Swans is a visit to the City Ground to play Nottingham Forest.

Against the reigning champions, Sergio Aguero's controversial late winner ensured that Manchester City dramatically kept their quadruple bid on track as they came from two goals down to beat the Swans and reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

Substitute Aguero beat Swansea keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt with a diving header off Bernardo Silva's low cross at the end of a superb move in the 88th minute.

Replays showed the Argentina striker was offside but the video assistant review system was not in use at the Liberty Stadium, despite having been used in City's third and fourth-round ties at their Etihad Stadium home.

City had levelled in contentious circumstances too when Cameron Carter-Vickers was judged to have tripped replacement Raheem Sterling in the area and Aguero's penalty hit the post before rebounding in off Nordfeldt for an own goal.

Defeat was harsh on the impressive hosts, who led 2-0 inside 30 minutes through Matt Grimes' penalty and Bersant Celina's spectacular second.

Forest’s last game was away to Ipswich at Portman Road and with the game's first shot, Collin Quaner beat Forest goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon with a tap-in finish from point-blank range after meeting former Swan Gwion Edwards' finely-placed cut-back.

The visitors scrambled home an equaliser before the break, with Jon Nolan inadvertently bundling into his own net after Molla Wague directed an in-swinging corner from Joe Lolley off the midfielder.

Both Pantilimon and Ipswich's Bartosz Bialkowski made crucial second-half saves as both sides had to settle for a hard-fought draw.

Without doubt the most important fixture between the Swans and Forest was the Play-Off Semi-Final at the Liberty in May 2011 which saw the Swans secure their place in the Play-Off Final at Wembley against Reading:

Turning to Saturday, when the team will be watched by new Chairman Trevor Birch, whilst the Swans are good enough to get at least a draw, I have a feeling that they will be returning pointless to South Wales. 3-1 to Forest

A difficult one to predict. Forest are 7 points above us but have played two games more so they’re not much better than us, if at all. 1-1.

Is McBurnie back? Not sure about this one, we never do well after an international break, think a 2-1 win to Forest is on the cards, home win for me, we are too inconsistent this season............<ok>

Everyone can beat each other home or away in the championship and is the hardest league to predict and it is all down to who turns up and who is best prepared.....We are all in the final run in and the most important part of the season....I can only hope we can get something.
After Forest we have 4 home games and 3 away games left and all are winnable

They’ve been found out - they don’t appear to have the financial firepower that they claimed to possess.

It seems that they had just enough to buy control.....
