NOTICE: Swords Back, DT Subject to Ban

I just want to make abundantly clear that we do not want any repeats of the bollocks that has led to our over-involvement as mods in relation to Swords or DT.

We have worked extremely hard to clarify the few rules we have on this board (click my signature for details) and we are intent on seeing them observed for now on.

We expect Swords to refrain from trolling for attention, provoking individuals into slanging matches and/or hijacking threads. If we detect or receive substantive complaints about any of this, we will not shrink from recommending a permanent ban. That might seem a bit final but the fact is that's the fourth ban he's had since summer and we have upwards of 100 posters on this board, the vast majority of whom have never been banned. If they can observe the rules on due respect and avoiding the 'isms' then so can he.

Having said that, we also expect that Swords' detractors (people like Flyer and Imaz that he targetted in the past) to either warmly welcome him back and interact in acceptable ways; or if they can't bring themselves to do that, then to ignore him or comments from others relating to him, altogether. Any words or actions against Swords (unless directly complaining about something he does from now on) will see more mod action happening - and without all the fuss involved in the Swords cases.

Final note. Following a series of unacceptable and unjustified digs at mods and others both before his self-imposed exile and in the hours since, we have recommended to the SuperMod a 4 week ban for DT. We are simply not prepared to put up with his narrow, opinionated nonsense any longer. If the board as a whole choose to oppose our decision, you will have my resignation without further ado.

This notice is simply provided for information - and this time I am in no mood for further discussion.

NUTS is trying to be on holiday atm, so if there's anything here he disagrees with, he can re-open the thread and correct anything he disagrees with. Swapped PMs this afternoon though, so I doubt if there is.
