Just a quick thought, this weekends result makes no difference!

We've still got to beat Watford

There's still along way to go

    Keep calm and carry on.

    That's all

With the manager and players we have in place I can't see confidence being hit too badly.

Hopefully the Bolton result will instil more determination and concentration in to the players

Very true. Only the usual panic heads will be worried over Bolton result. SB and the team will just shake it off as 8 mins of madness and move on. For 83 mins we actually drew the game 1-1 which has been lost on some people.

Stats can completely distort the reality. Bolton stopped attacking after 8 minutes just to keep the margin at exactly the same for the rest of the game as proven by the fact they attacked as soon as we scored and immediately restored the 3 goal cushion. They couldve scored any time they wanted sadly.

    Yes.

They preferred to be exactly 3 goals ahead and chose not to score any more until we pulled one back (which they let us do).

Bolton could have sat back on their lead - they wouldn't be the first team to do that. The fact that they scored so soon after us could have been due to us pressing for a second and getting caught with a sucker punch

It is at the stage now where losing a game hurts more than early season. The top teams know they are in with a good chance but only wins will get us there.

Next time we lose a game don`t worry about it, we certainly do not think one defeat will stop you.

I am sure the fans of each club are all hoping the same as we are, until we reach the required number of points we can only speculate.

If we do get promoted I will be just as happy for the teams who manage it as well.

Were you there? That didnt happen. After scoring we barely touched the ball before picking it out of our net again. From the kick-off they burst forward and completely overwhelmed us and it was very powerful to watch. If Freedman gets them playing like that consistantly next season they'll be a real force.

    Massive if obvs.

It was one goal though, you can't read into that too much...

That's not true, they wouldn't have sat back and allowed us to get so many shots off deliberately, it wasn't like they were comfortable in the second half. In fact, for a great deal of it they looked very uncomfortable, only our wayward finishing and piss poor free kicks prevented us from taking advantage.

All about opinions but that's not how I saw it at all. They let us have all the ball - Im guessing 65% - but held us completely at arms length whilst we did absolutely nothing with it. I honestly dont think they were even slightly troubled and as said earlier they could score at will.

That applies to most teams we oppose though. We really need to get better at taking our chances - both in terms of finishing and picking a pass- - rather than dithering and letting the opportunity pass by.

Or you could think, more realistically, that in trying to overturn a 3 goal deficit we exposed ourselves to being hit on the counter.

If you watched the game you may think that if we had got to 15 minutes at 0 : 0 we would have stretched away and won by a couple of goals. But we didn't, so **** happens.

I see no reason to panic yet.

One of the best defences in the division, got two top quality players back from injury, got a new International to bolster the back/middle, got two new attacking options in the last 3 weeks. I'm confident.

I don't think we have time to panic at the curren time... we can assess any panic after how the birmingham goes!
