Nothing yet officially To see from either city, On Mr. Wolfswinkel The new Kevin Drinkall Though elsewhere, much activity But if, as they say, the deal´s done Then news should appear before sun, Goes down for the day I think I would say Or else it begins to seem rum So hopefully we can enthuse Over such extraordinary news, If it is confirmed That the wolf has turned To delighting our Canary pews It would be something of a coup But with no announcement in view, No counting, I bet Of chickens just yet From Chris Hughton or from his crew. OTBC Have to admit I´m keeping everything crossed over here, until we hear anything officially.
Hi RBF, I think the fact it is on so many different places, plus the report of us paying something up front so they can pay the wages does seem to add some credence to the story!
Hope so Dave, I´d just be a lot happier to see some sort of confirmation on at least one of the official sites, you´d have thought those at Carrow Road at least, would have been itching to get it on. Fingers crossed.
Just have to go on record to praise the Drinkell/Wolfswinkel couplet. Raised a smile on a weary Thursday afternoon. I hope you go on to write many more lines charting RvW's future successes with us.
When I was a taxi driver in Lincoln, we had the prison contract, I spent many a happy hour or two chatting to Kevin's dad who was a prison officer in Grimsby!
excellent as every RBF Sounds like we've agreed a fee with sporting, what the situation is with regards to personal terms isn't really being reported I imagine it's being hashed out at the moment, then no doubt a medical, which is well timed for the international break meaning he can travel here easily as he isn't named in the dutch squad. The club almost never makes a statement about players until they have signed so I wouldn't expect anything for a few days. DM's lack of comment on twitter say theres something in this, he's usually quite quick to debunk things, especially when there's this level of noise.
Don´t go near Twitter, Bath, so I wouldn´t know, but that´s a good point, and I hope it´s a good sign, fingers still crossed.
Becoming more and more convinced by the minute Now Sporting themselves have come clean, Thas´ a great bit o´work folks, now innit? Let´s hope now that nowt intervenes. Love the thought of pinching him from under the noses of some more illustrious names.
Certainly a poetic challenge with that name, RBF. The Sporting stockmarket statement said negotiations were 'ongoing', so it may be a while yet. Certainly seems to have irritated Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs supporters! Fingers crossed!
As regards to the name Wolfswinkel He´s a star just waiting to twinkle, In this league of ours At the Carrow Towers Unlike his namesake Rip van Winkle.
