We all know that Pompey's current 2 points is effectively -8. So when will we get to 10 [zero]?

Looking at our up and coming games and I reckon on the 22nd of this month - which just happens to be my birthday (no cakes please - I'm on a diet)

I haven't yet consulted Mystic Devo, so I base that on:

    1/9 - Oldham (h) WIN = 5 (-5)
    9/9 - Crawley (a) LOSE = 5 (-5)
    15/9 - Walsall (h) WIN = 8 (-2)
    18/9 - Swindon (h) DRAW = 9 (-1)
    22/9 - Notts Co (a) DRAW = 10 (0)

Do you see it differently? Am I being too optimistic? Too pessimistic?

A lot may depend on injuries received but seems reasonable.

    Far too optimistic, I think.

Well it would apear now that it wont happen on your birthday.

Personally I think the best present you can hope for is for the PST to have taken contol of your club.

However my birthday is a week before yours and I wonder what I might wish for when I blow out the candles?

PompeyMeowth was only saying that we Saints fans haven't been beastly to you all recently but rest assured it will not be a wish for your demise but that the PST does take over your club as it could prove to be a catalyst for change in English Football.

Devo, I'm guessing you mean September 22nd, which happens to be my birthday as well! ..

As for as your predictions go, I hate to say it, but I can't see us winning a game for a while, we were appalling against Oldham.

But 8 points from 5 games ?? Yes please! Hope you're right! <ok>

It was my first game watching Pompey this season- we had 7 shots on target, they had one, they won 1-0.

Our all round performance was sluggish, and that hunger the players showed in the opening matches has waned slightly.

It's hard to see how a team like that could beat anyone in the division! ..:emoticon-0107-sweat

We had two more new players making their debuts yesterday - they need time to gel, they hardly know one another !

That's more 'Sarfampton speak', 3rd eye.

In Portsmouth, it is of course, "I say new midfielder, do you mind awfully passing the ball to me, and I'll attempt a through ball to our new striker, whatever his name is", spoken of course in your best Sgt. Wilson voice from Dad's Army <ok>

That's where the problem lies. By the time he's said all that, the other guy's lost the ball and they've scored <wah>

Will probably take a walk into Protaras for a few small large ones. May go into Ayia Napa, but will have to drive if I do that :(. I'm working on the Sunday so wont go too mad.

    Sounds good!

In my only visit to Cyprus, a few years back, I visited Nicosia. It was fully enjoyable- I have always thought about returning to Cyprus on holiday, but never got round to it. have Fun! <ok>

Did you go to the Turkish side?

When I was there in 84, we used to have some good days out in Northern Cyprus.
