The topic of solving social issues relating to disadvantages of groups and identities can be divisive. We can avoid that. There is also too much "cold logic" out there that hand waves away the real issues faced by many minorities LGBT, gender issues, and economically disadvantaged groups, none of that ****. Put yourself in their shoes. No group needs to be singled out No identity needs to be singled out No single group's gripes need to be ranked against another. MODS if it turns bigoted at all please close immediately (if its not closed immediately anyway) The answer to this question is the crux of how we address social inequality issues without having to resort to the very discriminatory measures that are ethically and morally wrong, issues that we want to, and must do our best to, nuke from orbit. So.. it simply goes like this Is this wrong? Is this right? and why is it either? please log in to view this image TL : DR just ignore it and the thread will die a horrible death
Put 2 little holes at wheelchair guys eye level in first pic...problem solved, no need for second pic
I only ask because the model being used to address issues is accurately represented by the second image
I can see what Sisu is saying and I have to say I think it's wrong tbh. Why is it they can all go watch a game and we can't.
The short answer imo, the disabled gets the ramp or box depending on disability, because conditions are a physical or mental capability issue and separate, equity solution is needed in almost all cases. An analogy for how we address inequality of representation in various parts of society. everyone else is given access to the edu to make the boxes and the tools and wood to put them together. ^A simplified analogy for Equality solution (Not equity) *Putting money into edu for all disadvantaged groups (no race gender sex based discriminatory scholarships, programs) *Divide the resources equally between all groups regardless of % of population they represent *Let them go smash it with the tools they then have and succeed or not like everyone else
This is the trouble with your opinion, you over complicate issues. Just remove the fence and the problem don't exist. By using a box or a ramp you are creating a H&S issue that comes with loads of red tape.
Forget the ramp, I'll invent a catapult wheelchair so they can fire themselves into the stadium. Solved! Unemployed people can work as catchers, with big nets 2 problems solved
If they all paided to watch, they would all have seats or wheelchair access. A simple solution to a simple problem.
