Everything wrong is a type of terrorism in my opinion, putting an act of terror upon someone isn't it? So raping a girl is an act of terrorism to said victim.
So, by extension, the government would see joking about it on a forum an act of terrorism. We can't have that.
Aye, but you see that's where the problem lies. What you consider wrong isn't necessarily the same as me. And what this government considers 'wrong' probably flies in the face of most people's opinion of what is 'wrong'.
I'd classify that last log I just deposited as terrorism. Certainly terrorised my poor wee stellar-vestry
Listened to an exMI6 dude in the radio today. His concern is that once this is achieved, after terrorism they will go after those who breach copyright. After that they can look at anything emailed or looked at online so be able to build up material on someone's private life - almost morally assessing individuals based on their browsing habits. It's a one-way street, no way back if this is granted.
Also, the hardcore terrorist doesn't leave his communications so they are easy to intercept and view. They use all manner of VPNs/proxies/encryption so this legislation is nothing to do with terrorism.
Of my poop-portal or the jobby? Actually, the answer to either question is no. What sort of a freak do you take me for?
There was no doubt this was coming. Big Brother may be 28 years late but it is here nonetheless. See you later crocodiles. Maybe.
Correct. Emails can be encrypted (using PGP for example). It would be easy to write an app that encrypted texts. Encrypting voice calls while technically quite simple in itself is problematic in terms of hardware. Voice is highly lossy in transmission and this allows bandwidth to be used effectively. If the voice calls were to be encrypted then it cannot be lossy at all. We would need a huge boost in bandwidth to support it, not to mention phones that had the hardware and memory capable of enctypting decrypting in real time. So the moral of the story is if yer up to no good communicate using easily encryptable mediums and don't say anything on the phone unless speaking in a pre-agreed codewords. None of which the bad guys will be doing, so this new bill will catch them all. It's a great idea!
