There are only so many ways we can debate the Bruce in Bruce out topic so I thought I would look at not606, prompted by some comments about BBC606 being better because to many people on here are more interested in gaining posts than talking football. Well, with over 8000 posts I guess thatâs me but its nothing to do with attention or points, honest. I honestly donât see not606 as a football forum, daft I know. I see it as a community of Sunderland fans who drop in and out to chat about all sorts of things with our love for SAFC being the common denominator, its why I like it. I still post a lot but in the early days I posted just about anything, not for attention but to make the board look busy and help it grow. We now have the regulars who post on and off all day, the dippers who drop in when they have the time and the occasional who probably read most days but only comment when they feel they have something to say. We have a steady flow of new members and that helps broaden the community and bring in fresh opinion, a good thing and long may it continue. I miss BBC606, not the three minute rule or 9 start and 11 close and certainly not the moderation. I well remember trying to post a thread about who would be Cock of The North and was blocked because of Cock. Is not606 perfect, never will be and if it was my site I would change things, bet Iâm not alone in that but overall I do think its getting there. In my super mod role I see things you donât and to me, thanks to you lot, the Sunderland board is by far the best. I ban a few people a day from a particular board at the request of their mods and around a few a week from the forum so banning may be a lot more common than you may think. On the Sunderland board its very rare, a last resort and even BDU is now a member because he has made all those posts without being banned. We wont get perfection my friends, we will never agree and at times we will fall out, but, in the end we get back together because Sunderland is in our blood and not606 gives us a platform to talk about our team. Just felt like saying all that, thanks for listening and getting me more points.
Not606 is a time-waster, just like the telly. You don't have to switch it on, and everyone can spend whatever time they want doing it. Don't see the problem meself.
Well said Syd. The common denominator is our SAFC. Its a family. There will be favourites, there will be black sheep. There will always be fights. You dont agree with me at times, nor me you; but I agree on this. Hawayawayaway! We are Sunderland say we are Sunderland. KTF. FTM. STICK TOGETHER. X

Well said mate. My worry is new members may be put off from posting, if they fear they may be hung up by the balls, if their opinion doesn't coincide with the more vocal amongst us. Everyone should have the freedom of speech we all so clearly agree with. (Without being called names.)
I only remove posts with dog abuse in, not allowed, ever, without pics I think we all need to take rsponsibility MR, we forget how hard it can be to post that first thread
It's like a war-zone on here lately. Nothing a win or two wouldn't fix though. Things have been heated. Words get said that I don't believe are really meant but in the heat of battle and often after a drink or two, no one will back down. I can honestly say there isn't a regular Sunderland poster on here I wouldn't like to share a pint or two with. A pub full of Sunderland Not606's. That would be one interesting evening.
Am I the only one who would like the site to chang its name? As its no longer an alternative to the defunct bbc606 is the name not606 relevant anymore?
