Reading a thread on here about where people have been and where they want to go, then I look at Stephen Sutton (If you don't know the name, google him. Truly and inspirational person) it has got me thinking, we do take life for granted. So lets make a massive bucket list full of things we all want to do. Granted we won't be able to do them all but it will be great to see what people would like to do before they kick the bucket!
I'll kick us off There is 1 thing I really want to do. That is to get a decent RV and travel around the WHOLE of America. See everything and do as the do when im in the city. Would love that. The thing I would most like to see is The Great Wall of China! Not sure why but im desperate to see it. Hopefully soon I can!
Said on another thread. To go to Nashville and Memphis. Things that won't happen City hold their own in the Prem and Wales get to a major final.
That's what gave me the idea mate. Would be nice to see what other peoples dreams are and what they want to do!
I've just achieved a couple of my personal ambitions bearing in mind I'm a good deal older than most on here, not being arrogant but as I mentioned before I'm taking delivery this week off a new model, 2.00 Mini Cooper S, with the total package of all add-ons to go with it, I've also just purchased a top of the range, 3 bed static caravan with decking on a quality site in Cornwall, where my mum came from, with what I experienced recently I have fulfilled a dream and me and Mrs wiz will be off next bank holiday.. Not quite the same as most but our bucket is full of happiness and it will do us.
Sounds perfect mate My dream car is a Audi R8.... Suppose I can add it to the bucket list to own or at least drive one before I die! Only trouble is if I drive one im going to want one permanently!
I use to enjoy thinking/dreaming happy thoughts, but my life seems a ever increasing list of problems/worries so no dreams for me.
I done a good 50th holiday last year and drove the pacific highway down from San Francisco to LA with an overnight stop. An absolutely stunning drive with clear blue pacific on one side and redwood forests on the other. A brand new 2.8lt top of the range car helped mind! My birthday treat was a limo to the airport in Vegas and then a helicoptor flight to the grand canyon for champagne breakfast. We had a meal that evening in the stratosphere tower where I nearly passed out when I got the bill!............I thought I was buying a meal not the f**ing tower! It was special mind. Also swam with dolphins in the Keys which was amazing and one of them challenged me to a water fight. I lost. Big time. Such big animals and so strong when they pull you around the lagoon. I quite fancy a tandom skydive though......strapped to a fully trained and competent chappy! Oh, and to run away to Australia with Kylie.............mmmmmmmmm.......Kylieeeeee.
That sounds quality! I swam with Dolphins in Egypt, whilst I loved every minute of it I couldn't help feel sorry for them. They don't belong in a man made tank, should be in the ocean, but then again we wouldn't be able to swim with them if they were. I haven't sky dived but when in America I did the SkyVenture which is a wind tunnel, like sky diving but you're not jumping out of a plane! That was quality, even if you did have to dress up like a teletubby
I've always fancied sky diving or bungee jumping but wondered what happens if you're half way down and realise you don't like it?
The pens for the dolphins in the Keys were just fences in the sea really. They often jumped over to go to sea for a jolly apparently! They were all born in captivity so they didn't even know how to hunt food and relied entirely on the staff to feed and train them. Wild ones come to the fence to see whats going on as well but they never meet up for a social outing....just a bit of eyeballing through the fence. A very interesting day though, and apparently there were fit young ladies in bikini's all over the place looking after them, but of course I din't notice that .
