I see Athenian is out tomorrow running in a listed event over in Germany; Surely he is too good for listed races especially over there. Hopefully Barney will give his thoughts of the race tomorrow Also Stick I see that one of your favourites is out Dawn Commander u going be on??
Hi all off to aintree (my local track) tomorrow with my son for some dad and son time. If I get a few winners then that will make it better. If any of you folks are there it would be my pleasure to buy you a drink or two.
Enjoy your day morky the first looks a mine field but should be very intrsting with Jonjos runner champagne present winning in April over 24f at the second time of asking in Australia in soft conditions, sire presenting (say no more)throw in Mccoy and we may have a winner. But the head ache may well be the Lavelle horse taken out by coleman , the last euro placed second in April at the first time of asking over 24f in good conditions in Australia .Mccain has a well weighted mr burgees running who should not be over looked either .this race should be very intresting and may well hold plenty of future form . I have had a small forcast no 3 (5/2)no 5(7/2) only to keep me intrested. good luck
I'm sure it's probably your auto text funtion on the phone uncle, but it tickled me to read of these point-to-point races in Australia in soft conditions
Have a great day at the races morky and hopefully bag a few winners. In the Pertemps Qualifier at 3.15 I'd be interested in an e/w dabble on Peter Bowen's Rolling Maul (some early 12/1 still available with Ladcrooks). The reasoning is quite simple - he may actually be trying to win, whilst most of the others are probably either trying to get their mark down, or qualify for the final. Peter Bowen deals almost exclusively in summer jumpers so I doubt he will have Cheltenham in March on his mind with Rolling Maul, who has bagged 3 wins this summer and shaped as though the step up in trip would suit, when staying on really well to win at Carlisle over 2m4f (soft) last time. Although that was a novice hurdle, he was giving a stone to the majority of the field and beat a debutant from Charlie Longsdon's yard. One of Lucinda Russell's was further back and has run creditably enough since to suggest the form wasn't half bad. Perhaps a saver on McCoy's mount who isn't badly treated by just a 4lbs rise for his Newbury win. Bowen may well double up with Dineur in the 3.50. Don't ask me how he's got in here off 133 having been rated 137 for his Newton Abbot win and only running in 2 hurdles races since, but he looks like another typical Bowen inmate who can make hay while the ground stays good. In the bumper, I'm sure stick will be able to give us the pointer on Longsdon's Midnight Shot but I think he will take all the beating here, having been worn down by a good Ferguson horse on debut. The form of the Great Try's win doesn't look anything special and the way Father Edward stopped in front last time makes me suspect he might have his own ideas about the game.
Had to double check oddy and definitely soft conditions that would be just myluck after flying for hours rain down under
The second race sees unanimate the fav and starchitect the 2nd fav carrying a few extra lbs yet suprisingly witch fom rome looks very well treated and could go close with a big 6s on offer in a 4 horse affair
Sea The Stars first jumps winner was Starchitect uncle Mind you, that Pipe horse beat 3 previous hurdle winners on debut with consumate ease and looks a bit special. Should be a nice race
Have a great day, hope you bag some winners. It's a very risky bet but Our Mick should be worth an EW bet in the 3:50 at 16/1
The Lavelle horse, THE LAST EURO, is very highly regarded by the yard. Fancied to make a winning debut!
Too high in the weights now I fear but a grand horse. The AP horse looks the one to be on. I like STARCHITECT but he is far too novicey. The Pipe horse wins today and I am taking a price on him for the Triumph. That was a good race he debuted in and he demolished three previous winners!
Not sure about the Pipe horse, that race was strong but was getting weight and I wonder if he is as good as form seems. Reminds me a lot of Kentucky Hyden.
Rossini's Dancer today at Aintree. Looks primed for race and repeat victory. Not sure many of field will be as ready.
2:40 Aintree - Dunowen Point (Looks to have a decent chance off bottom weight on this sharpish track).
Hello StickWise I hope Harristown got home safe & sound, Any news off The Don as to future plans? Also any info on Charlie's horse in the NHF race at Aintree? I notice good money for Derrydoon from the Karen McLintock barn, backed steadily at all rates from 20/1 into 8's, interesting Jockey booking in Paddy Brennan 33% (3 from 10) strike rate for the stable over the past 5 seasons! Good Luck
Fully agree nass managed to get 8s early doors in a ew lucky63 but 13/2still available , the two hurdles runs should have blew away the cobwebs and could give them the advantage plus Kit is no stranger and operates at a good percentage at chases
