Cole Hardin at 9/2 seems like a no risk each-way tomorrow no? More of that likely to win but first time out might be vulnerable?
Last Saturday I had 4 Festival ante post bets running which all won and tomorrow I've 2 who I also hope will win. I backed DJAKADAM at 10/1 when betting opened on the Hennessy. Everyone seemingly, bar the man on the moon, knows he's potentially a handicap blot and off 142 he'd want to be winning this bar an accident. Inexperience looks to be his biggest problem, I'm not really worried about stamina issues which I'd seen others cite. If he wins well my Gold Cup bet at 50s will give have an extra shine about it. My second festival antepost bet running tomorrow is LONG DOG in the Fairyhouse maiden Bob's Fine Article runs in. I've already downed that one before with the mighty KILLER CROW and fully expect LONG DOG to be too speedy over this trip. I had a small investment on him for the Supremes at 25/1 but my main fancy for it runs on Sunday The Fighting Fifth is usually a decent race but this years renewal is akin to a qualifier for the County Hurdle! If Irving doesn't account for this lot with ease that's where he'll end up too! If ARCTIC FIRE gets bigger than 3s, I'd bet him as he seemed to get beat the last day purely down to fitness IMO. Good luck!
Long Dog may well win tomorrow Beefy but i'm very confident Fine Article will be a ridiculously tough nut to crack. He only lost last time because of two bad jumps at the end. The final flight was an embarrassment. With fitness and experience now on his side and the trip hopefully proving neither here nor there for a very good bumper horse, I can't really see anything beating him unless, of course, Long Dog is a superstar.
TV picks Newb 1-50 Home Run 2-25 More Of That. In the World hurdle he beat off Annie Power, At Fishers Cross, Zarkandar, Big Bucks and Rule The World to name the five big ones. Nothing remotely like that here. No bet at price 3-00 Shut your eyes, chuck a dart …. The Druids Nephew! 3-35 Anquetta Newc 2-05 Irving, Sea Lord for the fc? No bet for me 2-40 Indian Castle NAP Good luck all
I honestly wouldn't mind at all in More of That lost tomorrow. No fitness. Not particularly nice ground. It wouldn't hurt his Cheltenham price would it? Not that i'm in any way suggesting connections like a bet or anything.
Newbury 1.50 Albert Bridge has gone so well on testing ground on the Flat that he looks very tempting @ 7/1
Lucky 31: 12.50 The Clock Leary 1.20 Bertie Boru 1.50 Hammersly Lake 2.05 Aurore D'Estruval 3.00 Fingal Bay
To add to the above cynicism regarding More of That tomorrow he's getting easier and easier to back! Big drifter! Cole Harden is no mug but if More of That's the horse I rate him to be, I'd be hoping for nothing other than a bloodless win for the World Hurdle winner.
Walsh looks to be regretting going on, Fitzgerald random outbursts, Luck condescending and the Bookie doesnt know what day it is.
Ruby has stuck Long Dog up as his charity bet. Must be a top horse. Will wait to see how the market shakes down before backing Fine Article.
