Sorry but that racing at Ascot is absolute ****. A 1 mile handicap and half the field was trotting across the line that the finish. Oh deary-****ing-me.
Near side runners done by halfway. Well done if you had Bronze Angel - 20-1 for an obvious contender speaks volumes for the tricky task we had of trying to pick the winner
Could be worse reebs - we could be on the Sunderland board Well done Alan King with Ulzana's Raid. Fine film too.
Agree with Ste about the lovely Miss Curtis and her bumper horse at Cheltenham with Barry John up. They combined successfully yesterday and I think they will today too. How About It 4/1
Well done to any winners on the day- really was a tricky Champions Day. So barring the fun and games of the Breeders and Melbourne Cup, the flat is done. Certainly in the UK anyway. What is the jumps horse that excites you the most?- name just one and give a one line explanation. I don't have a whole host on my radar this year, but mine would probably be..based on some of its novice form....Un Atout- built like a chaser, had enough speed as a novice hurdler to run over 2m and finish 4th in a Supreme Novice, and will be stepped up in trip in line with the way SIR DES CHAMPS was, with Davy Russell saying he is potentially better than that one
Not done much today just the usual scoop 6 attempt but went out at the first and failed to even place in the following 5! So done ew Lucky 15 tonight at Wolves: 7:15 - Tevez 12/1 7:45 - Kelinni 14/1 8:15 - Zinnobar 5/2 9:15 - Sarlat 12/1
Hi TC, good choice there with Un Atout, will be on a lot of peoples radars this year no doubt and hopefully he can show his potential once more over fences. I would plump for Abbyssial of Willie Mullins..Has the size and scope to progress over fences and will receive weight for age allowances in Novice chases and should be capable of mopping up a fair few prizes over the coming months.
Always in the shadow of his illustrious brother, how nice was that to see Noble Mission take the Champion Stakes today. Not just because he was following in his brother's footsteps; it was the way he won, leading all the way and fighting back so gallantly when challenged. I didn't expect him to win and didn't select him but that run gave me so much pleasure.
