Can't see past the three shorties at Newmarket Ivawood Lucida Estidhkaar A double on the 2 hannon colts and a treble for good measure
I see they are throwing Forte into the Fillies Mile, I was thinking Lucida would be a goodthing on the Moyglare form but maybe its a bit tighter than I thought on collateral form with Agnes Stewart. With Marsh Hawk there as well im not mad on the prices for any of the top 3 and Good Place is the one thats tempting me at 10/1, looks a nightmare to me but hoping Forte runs well even though she will have to get scored off my list for competing in a group race.

5.00 Cheltenham - Charingworth @ 12/1 EW An amateur jockey race isn't normally the route to riches, but I think Charingworth has an excellent chance tomorrow and the odds on offer were too big for me to resist. He ran well enough in all of his races last year, but interestingly he has been dropped in the handicap for the coming season, and this is a perfect opportunity to get his season off in the best fashion. He started last years campaign at Cheltenham when beaten by Handy Andy at the Open Meeting, and I think that race was a much stronger race than this, and as such that form rates really strongly for me. The yard have started this season in good form, with another winner today, and its interesting that they have got Charingworth ready a month earlier this season. Throw in the jockey rode the horse at the track last year and the ground looking favourable and I think the 12/1 looks a pretty solid EW bet.
Seven runners and a chance to get some black type in her final outing as a juvenile probably the motivation. This actually looks a really good race compared to the other two G1's. Can we have a separate thread for those Yokels wishing to discuss slow Shire Horses on a day with so many Group Flat races?..
Really pissed of with corals today on weds I did a treble all won 4.1 3.1 5.1 did for a £5 treble should come to £600 but lol and behold all I got back was 522.50 they said was a rule 4 in last race nothing in sporting life seems they can make there own rules up if I had not taken the prices would been 8.1 3.1 7.2 and I would have won over £800 think I wont bother taking prices again grrrrrr
PWISE 3 for what's it worth - all new 4.00 Kodi Bear - 4.35 2 picks - Here comes when / Highland Colori - good luck fellas
Haha I suppose racing fans especially the guys on here could argue all night about flat / jumps - every week in the pub after watching footy me and my mate go at it - I'm a flat supporter and as Dex says he is a lover of 3 mile shire plodders LOL - but that's what makes the world goes round - everyone of us entitled to their opinion - for what's it worth done the last 2 weds at the festival and sais to my mate don't book me a ticket for 2015 as 2 things grate me about Cheltenham - 1) Not enough staff on for beer etc and generally TOO busy and also the internet / wi-fi is absolutely terrible. Trying to put other bets on at other meetings and its a no go - the iPhone is a no-no
With the soft ground at Newmarket and very soft ground at Ascot, this looks like a weekend to just watch. On the ratings Ivawood is clearly the best horse in the Middle Park but he has never raced on anything worse than good ground and has not raced for nearly two months. Charming Thought has raced against just seventeen horses in three races and is also an unknown on the ground. At least Muhaarar has won on the soft. In the Fillies’ Mile, the Irish look to hold the cards with Together Forever, Lucida and Agnes Stewart unless Marsh Hawk can keep the money at home. At least they should all go on the ground. I really like Estidhkaar and he does appear to have been handed an excellent opportunity in the Dewhurst thanks to the defections; and I do think he will be a three year old to watch. Kodi Bear has not run since King George day but was very well backed that day at a much lower level. There is no guarantee that Maftool will go on the ground and there is a suspicion that Smuggler’s Cove is running as a marker to gauge the merit of the rest of the field.
KOOL KOMPANY is a monster price at 10-1. There isn't much between him and stablemate IVAWOOD and the ugly brute will have appreciated his two month break. Wouldn't be the first time the top deputy Ryan Moore has turned Hughsie over this season.
