Not606 a bit like Sky TV after 10pm

Calm down everyone FFS.

We've nearly all got Sky TV. Think of Not606 as Sky. What happens after 10pm, a whole load of smut becomes available.

Well in my view, you do one of two things. You watch it or not. It's your call. No one makes any of us go onto GC, nor does any of the regulars from GC need to come on to the NUFC board.

Earlier today I was taken to task by several members because I wasn't too impressed at some nasty viral getting an airing on the NUFC board. I was told in no uncertain terms that " if your not interested, then keep off the post and ignore it" . Might be advice we all take on board.

So how can we have double standards with GC?

I've been posting since May and went on GC for the 1st time yesterday, that's how much I care about non football chat.

This Not606 is the brainchild of Mick. It's his to lose. Not ours. We can go anywhere we all want. Easy.

Suggest he sorts out the very small handful of GC posters upsetting moderate folk or he takes down GC, leaving football related postings which won't interest GC posters.

I'm sticking with Not606 Newcastle as I think there's a great bunch of lads on the site and it's one of the few Toon forums that's growing in popularity. That's down to us, not Mick or GC lads.

Maybe GC has just morphed into NSFW?

Channel 4 shows some rough cutting edge stuff. I can choose whether to watch or not. It comes with a content warning. GC should as well .

So where then is our forum for discussing anything we want with other fans? Anything innocuous you post on General Chat is liable to end up bombarded with NSFW stuff, by your own admission.

That is the problem. If we want an NSFW forum, let's make an NSFW forum. But General Chat should not BE that forum.

 

GC should not be like it is now, it should be for the whole forum and not just the sick people that are in it currently(majority of them are).

The forum would be so much better if the whole forum could use GC. Every thread that gets put their currently, turns **** even if its an attempt of a serious thread.

Hell there are many threads in Newcastle sub-section that should be in General Chat, but if they were there, they would be full of sick pictures.

 

Apart from the ****e analogy, the General Chat board doesn't simply operate after 10pm with it's disgusting content, it goes all day and night and is getting worse by the day.

 

So your call would be what?

 

Either make it an NSFW forum and introduce a new General Chat with actual moderation, or just introduce moderation full stop if that's too much trouble.

I personally agree with the call to have a NSFW section where people can do what they want, it can be password protected and therefore not available to the public (and not something that will give this site a bad name). General chat should be just that!

 

Totally this. I want to be able to take part in general chat discussions but can't/won't here because of the regulars. It should not be the solution for those like me to have to change forums or to do without. The GC should be sorted out ... end of.

 

Yeah it's a shame that the GC board is basically poulated by a few sad ****s. Just means that off topic threads have to go on the NUFC board meaning we get less contributions, as only NUFC board users see it.

 

I slowly losing interest in this site. It needs an over-haul.
