Just had a horrible "premonition" of sorts. Whilst reading this article:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/13/scott-parker-west-ham-transfer

The point about "no offers for Carlton Cole" yet leads me to believe Bruce -will- try and sign him on the cheap.

Yet I dont care how cheap he is that money can be spent elsewhere. Its just Cole seems to be the kind of striker we will go for.

Scott Parker wouldn't come this far north again. Hes a London boy at the end of his career. He is settled darn sarf and why would he uproot now when there will be alternatives nearer home. I reckon QPR might be a surprise bidder for the lad.

As for Green and Cole, if they could be bought for a bargain price, both players would be fine by me. Carlton Cole for £3m or £4m is fine. Robert Green for £2m also fine. Any more than that and I'd walk away.

Both have vast experience and Cole has always been a bloody big handful when I have seen him against us and a good man to have on the bench to change things round.
