Has to go for gold here. Need to have an attacking team.

Zaha (& Dahli) deserve more game time. Kim does not.

    Noone hopefully will be fit.

Cala was poor again on Saturday.

Does he play Jones as a target man? How many times did we break on Saturday but only one player was in the box?

Does he put Campbell to play behind Jones or Bellamy, OGS did that at Swansea and it went well for a while.

Who plays full back? Fabio is getting better but John makes too many mistakes.

Will he retain the 3 at the back? He ditched that system at Everton and City looked better for it.

So presuming Noone is fit, how about 4-4-1-1?

    Marshall,
    Fabio & KTC
    Caulker & Turner
    Noone*, Medel, Mutch, Zaha
    Campbell
    Jones

    *Bellamy if unfit

    Views anyone?

Just because Cala had one bad game against Sturridge and Surez doesn't justify dropping him. As solid as Turner is he can't pass the ball. Cala can.

Ole will also stick with John at LB ahead of KTC. Again one bad game doesn't mean he should drop him. I've been impressed with Declan this year.

The BIG question is will be go 3 - 5 - 2 or revert to a more attacking 4 -4 - 2? He's aware that we have to win.....

Kim has to go. Rather see Eikrem or Zaha <ok>

I'd start with the same side, same formation. For 50 minutes we gave the form team with the best attack in the PL plenty to think about.

If we go to a Brom side scrapping for their lives with 2 wingers, 2 strikers, an attacking fullback and a very attack minded centre mid (Mutch) they'll run all over us imo. We need to win the battle first.

I know I'm on my own supporting Kim but if he goes he needs to be replaced by someone who works as hard as him not an attack minded winger. Might get away with Bellers playing there if he'll be disciplined enough in a 3-5-2 with FC + 1 up front. I'm absolutely sure Zaha should be played in a free role as the 2nd striker though. I'd start with either him or Bellers off FC and keep the rest the same. I suppose there is an argument for playing Turner, moving KTC right and Fabio left too.

Depending on how the game progresses any of Zaha, Noone, Daehli that haven't started can be introduced with a simple change to 4-4-2. Or more defensive centre mids can be added to the middle 3 to shore things up.

The fact that West Brom won't want to lose this one probably more than we want to win it could be our best chance of coming away with the 3 points. They only need to keep us behind them in the table, and a point apiece will suit their cause despite them being the home side.

I still don't think Ole will go gung ho at it. He'll look to contain any threat and take the points with counter-attacking game - that will need pace out from the back through midfield and Zaha must start. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see 3 CBs employed again, allowing Fabio and John to get forward when they can.

The need for pace with this type of game must mean Campbell will get the nod over Jones again, and Bellamy just behind him with Zaha would test the Baggies back four.

Mutch for his vision is a must, and Medel for his destroyer/tidyupper game is a certainty.

That leaves one other spot in midfield. I'd be inclined to try Eikrem or Whitts instead of Kim for this one. Either can pick a pass for the quick men up front and have the skill to play keep-ball when needed. Both can also capitalise on dead ball situations with excellent delivery ability (despite Whitts strange lack of form this season), and that's where a fair proportion of our goals have come from.

The bench must include Kim and Noone (if fit) as options - both these have game changing skills. Daehli should also get a seat on it though I've got a feeling lately that for all his close skills, he lacks a bit of pace.

Surely FC, Bellers, Zaha, Medel, Mutch is it as far as a 5-3-2 goes. Or do you mean Bellers or Zaha up front with FC?

Play the same team and the same way against West Brum that you played against Liverpool and the three points are yours. The 7 bottom teams lost on Saturday , the advantage Cardiff have is who they lost too compared to some of the other 6 losing teams lost to.

Sorry Stevo, my bad - although I said I wouldn't be surprised to see the "3CB" option again, I should have made it clear I was expecting a standard back four but still going for pace out of defence.

With Medel in the side, I don't really see the need for a 3rd CB against Baggie standard of opposition - not belittling them, just that they're not the standard of up front players that we've faced recently. If Fabio plays like he did on Saturday, and Declan can shrug off his relatively poor game, I think Caulker and Turner should be able to cope through the middle.

Bellamy and Zaha worked well together when he came on for Whitts against Norwich - I think they can do the same again from the start this time.

    Ben Turner HAS to play.

Hes the worst footballer at the back but hes the best defender by miles.

Marshall KTC Turner Caulker Cala Fabio Medel Mutch Bellamy Noone Campbell.

    Id give Declan a break.

    Cala over Turner any time!

Sorry, Kim has to go on the bench.. I lost count how many times he was knocked off the ball and fell flat on his arse on Saturday! Not good enough..

Definitely play Zaha and or Daehli

Is Nooney injured? I havent seen any reports on it.. May have just been a bit blind though?

Seems most are agreed Kimbo should not be picked.

    Plenty of opinions here.

Going to be intense, fraught, exciting, anxious  but ultimately hopefully a successful day for the City<ok>

From now till the end of April is a huge opportunity for Cardiff to dig itself out of relegation, very favorable games . Last chance gents , better take advantage in the lull of quality opponents

Spent far too much of my student life watching afternoon soaps when the pubs were shut (old licencing laws in them days)

I recall Take the High Road, The Riordans, Taff Acre, Flying Doctors, Young Doctors, The Sullivans, Sons and Daughters, Country Practice.

    Any other's?
