    THEY PLAYED FOR BOTH

    No-0ne.

Edit - Due to some Northern pedantic tit!, it transpires Graham Roberts played 11 times for Stevenage. :)

Great post! Covered all the key points in this fixture's history.

    -----

This will definitely not be easy - in theory I would expect a tougher game in this than the Watford game, but we bloody well made that hard enough! The prize for Stevenage is absolutely huge - the financial gain for reaching the 1/4 finals of the FA Cup for a league 1 team is huge, plus obviously it is a chance for a big scalp, so they will be bang up for it.

If we were, god forbid, to lose, I really hope Crawley win and they get drawn against Stevenage. To see one of those teams at Wembley in an FA Cup semi final would be amazing!

But no, let's not let that happen!

So what team do you want to see on Sunday?

    Mine would be

    Carlo
    Walker
    Dawson
    Nelsen
    Rose

    Lennon
    Niko
    Sandro
    Bale

    Defoe
    Saha

Mix of fringe and first team, with a run out for the likes of Sandro and Lennon who have missed a few games recently. Not sure who amongst the fringe we still have, Townsend would play for me, but I think he is on loan?

    Is Sandro back?

I'd play Khumalo instead of Dawson, Livermore instead of Walker and GDS instead of Bale. No sense risking our most important players ahead of next week.

Trying to work out whose left at the moment, but I'd go for...

    Cudicini

    Walker Dawson Kaboul BAE

    Lennon Sandro Kranjcar Rose

    Defoe Saha

A shame we don't have Townsend or Carroll as options from the bench as they could do with some experience alongside the first(ish) team, but we can take a much stronger bench than we've had for the last few league games if we need to put the game to bed.

Dont know, but I thought he was close last weekend? Good call on Livermore instead of Walker - was struggling to find an alternative right back.

Well he must have checked it. Who on Earth remembers anything about the Intertoto?

I remember him well as I was a budding 'keeper at the time and took a keen interest in all our 'keepers. I'd have thought he played a handful of games for us, he made a few benches.

Never knew he went to Stevenage, then again I know f- all about Stevenage.

It was posted on the BBC's website along with the info that there is a former wooden spooner by the name of Freeman playing.

Sadly some people <whistle> like to give the impression of being knowledgeable rather than sharing their sources.
