ITS NOT GOING TO BE THAT EASY GETTING 3 POINTS FROM THE NEXT 2 GAMES...

COVENTRY, if this was a usual weekend/midweek fixture I would have to say A DRAW WOULD BE EXPECTED considering BCFC last couple of games, however we are expecting to go there and give them stick, but it is Boxing Day and strange results pop up, it will be a win for either...COVENTRY by the odd goal OR BCFC by at least 2...

SOTON not yet lost at home, have a vulnerable away record as I HIGHLIGHTED BEFORE WE PLAYED THEM.
What can we expect? at best a draw, maybe 0-0/ 1-1 outside chance of 2-2 if they come from behind.

More importantly, and although a fervour of "just keep on winning" comments were bandied about when OUR NEW MANAGER arrived..we do now need to look at the other teams results, we are 2 wins and a draw behind relative safety!

Not so long ago it was 10-12 teams we needed to keep tabs on, now it is only 4,

    Millwall Florest Donny and Coventry.

Millwall...good home record playing Pomps poor away one Millwall 3 points
Millwall...good home record 2nd home fixture in a week playing CPalace not drawn away till today...total 4 points = 27 points

Florest...typical low position home record playing a team out of sorts with below average away record, expect 3 points
Florest...typical low position home record playing a team who can turn it on but prefer to draw away, 1 point expected, but possibly 3 = 4 points so 25 or 27pts

Donny...poor away playing a poor home 0 point
Donny...poor away playing a ave home team again 0 points so stay on 19, 20 at best!

Coventry...poor home record playing a less than ave away team expect 0 points
Coventry...poor home record playing a ave away team again 0 points so stay bottom

WE START 2012 IN THE BOTTOM 3..........sorry

Good post jgf2 and I must confess I have the same fears looking at our next 2 games. Boxing Day fixtures have a very good habit of producing strange results and normally don't favour the travelling team. Combine this with our history of poor performances when we play 2 games within less than a week and my worry increases.

Like you I fear that we may enter 2011 in the bottom 3 and when you pile on the fact that our team seem to have gone back to sleep, who knows what the next few weeks will offer.

The transfer window is almost here and it will be very interseting to see the comings and goings over the next month
or so and where DM can take HIS TEAM!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

IT was interesting to see Clarkie in the squad, could be he gets more of a look in at Coventry?
Our most annoying area is midfield, playing a 3-5-2 is not that bad looking at what we have available..JANUARY WILL BE INTERESTINGI would prefer to see NM go, he hasnt exactly set the pitch on fire so far this season, and playing second fiddle to someone who may be leaving must be demoralising to to the other 4 strikers,3 of whom having shown they are up to mark...

, SEEMS TO FAVOUR THE UNDERDOG WHETHER AT HOME OR AWAY!

There is no underdog JG. They both are.
Personally I think a 2-2 at Cov, and I hate to say it but I fear for us at Southampton

A sobering Christmas, a real test of our new manager's abilities for the rest of the season

Two losses on the cards the way we have gone backwards.

This is going to tell us a lot about Del and Doc over the next three games Cov,Soton.Donny.

If we go back to playing our strongest side in our best formation we will beat Coventry.

And I stlll fancy a point at Southampton.

I hope Del and Doc are instilling some much needed confidence into the players before 2 very stern tests.

We got a point at West Ham, won unexpectedly at Millwall and at Barnsley and I don't see why we should be scared.

COYR show us what you're made of
