15 years since our exit from the top flight, and having endured some utter dross with my fellow hoops, the time has nearly arrived for us to be reintroduced to the world. Things were very different 15 years ago.....the internet was really only starting to get going, players were paid really well but not to superstar levels (ok, maybe a few) and media coverage of the Prem wasn't like it is now. If the management at the club play their cards right (take note of the mistakes that John madjeski made - sellingbest players and not reinvesting) they could take this club to new levels, even maybe global in time. The massive pulling power is the location. If we had a bigger stadium we would draw bigger names. Big names want to be in the bright lights.....not Wigan or Wolverhampton (no offence chaps, but you know what I mean). Our club is just starting to snowball and it's important that Flav and Co realise that and that once you get relegated out of the Prem it is super difficult to return (took us 15 years!).....Birmingham are going to be screwed. My addiction starts now........internet, sky sports news, forums etc. P.s I am so excited about watching us on Match of the Day/Football First.....takes me back to when I was a teenager when we were last on the show.....recording the programme on VHS and scanning the crowd to see if I could see myself on the telly!!....good times. PPS; And no more sodding Steve Claridge!! WHOOP WHOOP!!!
Nice one NewBury you've captured the excitement .... cant wait roll on saturday ...17th will do for the season just please stay up and a 4-1 win over Man U on Stephens Day will top it off for the last 15 years of pain looking at Stupid Sharp/Aon/Carlsberg/Samsung Jerseys over here.
