Too true mate. The only real options for change we have for Monday are to bring in Rudy if fit to at least let us compete for the endless stream of balls pumped up in the air and/or to start with McPhail, play a 5 man midfield and give us more control in the middle of the park. However, the second of those is not an option which will give us the extra goal threat we need. Again, the lack of January/February signings to give us variety has come home to bite us. Of course Malky could throw caution to the wind and give young Harris his debut - in what would be very difficult circumstances for such a young player. Okay, McNuggs can come back at rb but unless Darcy was at fault for their first goal in not being tight enough on Vaz Te (couldn't tell from where I sit and only saw their 2nd goal on tv this morning) then Darcy did okay, nobody got past him, he is better in the air than McNuggs and attacked with enthusiasm when he had the chance. As an aside I hope we keep Darcy for next season. Despite limited opportunities he has not let us down at all and I think his game has improved - probably due to the confidence in being a regular for Wales.
Got to agree about the Darcy bit BFB, he gives his all and has taken the opportunity to demonstrate to MM that he is worth investing in (my opinion). Dont think it was really his fault for the first goal, ye he should have been tighter on vaz te, but a great ball in, collinson gets in front of our guy ( cowie?) and its all over? As for the second, well I knew it wasn,t going to be our night when you have that type of bad luck. All in all out muscled, out moaned, their gamemanship was better, bloody frustrating really because someone needed to get a foot in, and start bossing them. Thought we were worth a goal though!!! I genuinly think that malky couldn,t get who he wanted in the transfer window and I like the guy for not panicking, sticking to his budget and not just getting someone in to "fill out" the squad, as we seen with the majority last season. Passion, Pride and Performance will get us through on monday, honest!
Passion, pride and performance. All three were missing last night. Even if we find them on Monday who is going to put the ball in the net for us. Miller has proved yet again that he can't hit a cows arse with a banjo. Rudy is injured, again. Mason is getting out muscled and Earnie hasn't had much game time. Whittingham can't score when he is playing in front of the back four for the whole game.
Give it a rest Phil. Yes, it's quite funny, but to put it on every thread takes the wit out of it fella.
