Final Plans for Dairy Crest Site Revealed Public invited to view scheme at Bush Theatre Helical Bar and Aviva Investments, the companies preparing plans to redevelop the 10 acre former Dairy Crest site in White City are inviting local people to view their final plans for the site on at the Bush Theatre's Auditorum on July 18,from 4pm till 9pm. This follows a series of consultations with local people over the site, to the north of Westfield. In May last year, they appointed Eric Parry Architects to create a masterplan for a proposed mixed use development which will include 1,500 new homes. Now they say an outline planning application is being submitted this month and they hope a decision will be made by the council by December. If the plans are approved, they say will consult the public on more detailed plans for each building, and expect to start work on the development in late 2013. http://www.shepherdsbushw12.com/default.asp?section=info&page=dairycrest005.htm
The club has to tell the council thats the only site available for a new ground or they will have to move out of the area to another council more receptive to their proposals. Its a horrible place for housing too, right by westfield, several main roads and a couple of different railway lines.
Totally agree. It's essentially a triangle of land, hemmed in on all sides my motorway roads. Can't imagine the balconies would have much of a view!
LR could be used for housing so its a choice of several hundred homes in a good location plus a new ground for us or 1500 homes in a crappy location and we move out of the area taking many millions out of the local economy.
Don't forget the traveller's site to the north/east, bound to want a move away from the site if there is a stadium built next to them.
local council only interested in short termism still if they give the land to us there will be a lot less people complaining about rates rises remind me is the unigate site next to white city station
Yes, right next door to the north. Its perfect for us because theres no housing on 3 sides so there would be far less opposition to a ground being built there.
I doubt TF would talk about a new stadium and staying local unless they had sorted (or at least knew something) was happening. I guess we just need to wait and see.
... it would never get built as my cousins would keep nicking the metalwork and then sell it back to the Mittals
Yes mate me and Mrs Ellers spent a nice week in Devon (a bit wet) i was banned from the PC! I did manage to read some of the Foolham comments They are a funny bunch? Sad little muppets don't like the fact that they have a 200 away support and used to get 3K at home. Don't worry about them mate as i think our clubs are going in different directions (them going down within 2 seasons).
