Good news for women, and the driving public I'd suggest. People like him and Nile Ranger just don't learn

He gets no sympathy from me

Pure pond life and utter scum. Shame on any club that has signed him and any football fan who has cheered this man on! 18 months isn't nearly enough and 3 years driving ban is laughable, life ban from driving a car or anything bigger. Some people will always be a waste of human life, as controversial as that sounds, and he is one of them!

If we signed someone like this I would have to think very long and hard about going

No matter what faults he has he is still a good role model for our youth = BIG LOL! Waste of space unless he is in jail.

On his day, he was a great forward. I would have happily had him after his first arrest as I believe that people have served their punishment when they are free from prison. He has been good at the clubs he has played for.

That being said, at his age he won't play for another team again. He's well and truly blown it now in terms of ever playing football professionally in the future. At 34 he could find a club, but he'd be lucky to get a team in League 2 at that level.

I raised this point a while ago - if he were a plumber then he would serve his sentence and then could carry on working.

However when it's a high profile footballer it somehow feels different - it's as though it's rubbing the victims nose in it (or in the Lee Hughes case her family).

So while I take the point that they have "done their time", I don't want them at my club

The point of serving your sentence and having a second chance is, you use that opportunity to not break the law. Millions upon millions who pray and plead for a second chance they never get. When you break the law as many times as Marlon causing the impact he does on innocent people, you don't deserve anything but misery.
