A change of view from you JWM, what happened to supporting the strikers?
We hope come the end of the season that a point is good enough Weighty. Other teams around us are picking up points and scoring, worrying times.

Normally a point would be ok but when you have teams around us winning we are getting sucked back into the mire. Our defense is now solid but we have got to do more offensively! Just one shot on target today is abysmal and I pity the poor Townies that had to witness that rubbish today!

I am supporting the strikers but its the lack of creativity from Midfield that is the problem <ok>

Combined with the strikers being told to do more defensively, even Mathie picked up on that early in the first half.
Defending only stops you from losing, it doesn't help you win.

The striker have to do their fair share of defending but if you aren't getting any crosses in from the flanks or any through balls from Midfield you aint going to get many chances! Cresswell, Martin & Edwards are woeful in an attacking sense.

So who would you play instead to help the creativity in midfield JWM?
I would put Drury in for N'Daw, from the radio commentary it sounds like he made a lot of misplaced passes again today that went to the opposition.

To be honest SD I would prefer to have N'Daw for his defensive qualities Drury just hasn't got enough quality and is too lightweight! Mick has no real creative options and I urge him to go and get someone in on the emergency loan.

Agree JWM, whilst the result isn't terrible, the fact that we only had 1 shot all game against a team like Huddersfield who have conceded 10 goals in there last 2 games is awful. I'm all for being solid but this is ridiculous, think Mick has got more and more negative since he's been here, it's almost like watching George Osborne on the economy, 'there's no plan B', there's only one way to get out of this situation!!

It's not as if we have the best players but we definitely have good enough players to take the game to a team like Huddersfield but we set up for a 0-0 and that's what we got!! Like I said I hope this approach works because if it doesn't I don't think I could forgive Mick!!

If we are going to stick with Hyam and N'Daw then how about we switch it up to a 4-2-3-1.

Now don't start getting political <laugh> that will open up a whole new debate!

We are now solid and hard to beat which is a prerequisite to staying up and yes the lack of goals is very worrying! Mick just wants to get us to the end of the season when he can start again. We need 11 - 13 points to survive and it will be a nail biting end to the season. We desperately need a creative midfielder in my opinion now that Wordy is injured.

Yes I agree SD, been saying that for ages, what's the point of playing 2 upfront if their not getting the service??

I will reiterate, defending does not win matches, goals do. Having said that 12 more draws may be enough <yawn>

I'm not saying it will FFS!

BUT You have to be solid defensively to stand any chance of getting anything out of the game! <ok>

Attack is the best form of defence.
Don't get me wrong JWM, I'm much happier that Mick has sorted us out defensively and it gives us a good platform to stay in matches, but will it be enough?

I think that the Strikers we have can score a goal or two but if we start concedeing again we have no chance of outscoring teams...

We've just signed another CB on loan, we may as well play 6 at the back if we're going donw the route we currently are.

I think our back 4 looks solid enough for us to be a little more dynamic in midfield!! This doesn't mean we have to be gungho but certainly a bit more attacking than we are currently!!
