I just wanted to say how terrible the events were at Paris last night. I sat there in complete shock thinking how those pathetic excuse for human beings just slaughtered person after person without a care in the world. I really dont know what the solution is to this problem anymore, the only thing I do know is that WW3 is looming large in the next 5 years where it will be west against east. I really hope im wrong but I really cant see any other way. You can only push people so far. RIP to all those who lost their lives in Paris

I echo your sentiments Ric, such an appalling atrocity. What the answer is I don't know but these people must not be allowed to get away with such actions. Innocent victims being randomly murdered. A terrible situation.

It's a an horrific situation and one I can't see and end to - I fear for our children and our children's children. My deepest condolences to all directly and indirectly affected by these tragic events.

I don't like to comment on religion or politics because I think it's easy to be misinterpreted and offend. However, I think regardless of you stance it's hard to see past the fundemental point that culturally every race/creed is different and not only does society nurture differing view points but it could be argued it's almost now ingrained in their nature - and subsequently unchangeable.

Wars (and non less than world wars) are a balance of nature, like disease - both could be argued are self created. However in modern day life both are controlled and used accordingly which means neither have the affect of balancing out nature to an equilibrium - of sorts.

What makes us Human is the ability to care and reason and could be argued is our strongest trait and one that has outdone mother natures natural selection of strength and power. However it is and will undoubtedly be our downfall. With the greatest will in the world certain self deemed super powers can not expect to influence other nations for what is deemed as 'for the good of humanity' and in acknowledging that we can not be expected to try in accommodating said nations through compromise. Ironically we will ultimately revert to being 'in humane' in an attempt to survive.

My point? I'm unsure. All that I can fathom is that we should not interfere and we can not help selectively. The more liberal approach we take the greater the threat we pose to the majority in seeking to help the minority - it is the perfect Trojan horse. I fear that when our present and near future is studied by historians, this will be ear marked as one of the turning points of humanity and will go down as one of the most successful coordinated acts of war - the covert infriltration of western democracy - welcomed by politically correct politics in the search of prestige and tenure - to the ultimate dimise of human nature.

It's time the western world realises and accepts that it neither has the right or the ability to help and impose our 'humane beliefs' on nations that we have systematically disabled over centuries. However these nations can not expect our resources, support, allegiances or tolerances either.

In simple terms we are individual Ant colonies that will infiltrate and destroy any nests within reasonable proximity in search of domination and territory - call it survival, call it 'Gods Will', call it what you want or what your culture has educated you to call it. The only way this can be prevented is through a natural barrier, water, distance or ecological differences - not tolerance. The question is what is our natural barrier that means we live and let live! It's difficult to be 'multi cultural' (if there is such a thing) without merely moving in like a cuckoo and selectively choosing what we want - and that goes for every nation.
