As a few of you have read I saw Coldplay as my last gig, but next one is the Wurzles.

But my favourite gig was U2 when they had the Killers backing them up.

Who was your last, your next and the best gig you saw?

Don't get to 'gigs' (hate that word!) these days, but in the dim distant past my best were
Bo Diddley at the Corn Exchange, 'Little' Stevie Wonder and Ike and Tina Turner, both
at the Locarno; and very recently Jerry Lee Lewis at a mini-concert promoting an
album in New York. On the same trip I saw the Crystals and the Tokens
at an open-air show on one of the Hudson River piers.
I also used to go to the Colston Hall to see the Larry Parnes stable
of artistes on their regular tours (Billy Fury, Sounds Inc., etc)
Four Tops and Neil Sedaka at the Albert Hall in the 70s were good concerts too.

wize...Corn Exchange was a great venue....was it the Bristol Chinese R&B Club? (nothing
to do with Chinese!). Fantastic acts...I think I remember Long John Baldry and also
the Pretty Things. Electric atmosphere and fearsome bouncers!

Meat Loaf at the NEC was brilliant. Surprised he didn't have a heart attack then!!!

Many years ago Sonny and Cher 'I got you babe' in TWW studios.

I can't get over the amount of long-haired greasy jitters on these boards!

Last gig: Janelle Monae at the Academy

Next: Dodgy, Selecter and The Christians at the fabulous North Nibley Festival in a few weeks, or proper gig will be Radiohead and Caribou at the O2.

Best: So many to chose from: Either Rolling Stones at Ashton Gate ( <yikes> ) in 1981, Beta Band at V in 2002 or any Chemical Brothers/Groove Armada - seen 'em both loads of times....
