Ferguson is only interested in preserving man utd's image around the world in front of a massive world tv audience Bet he doesnt sens a letter next week or the week after when they are singing about us then! Fergies still a hypocritical, bullying lyin s**mbag.. Hes just lookin after Yerniteds image
Fergie may be a bellend, bad loser and all round **** as a football manager but he's always been extremely supportive of Liverpool in regards to the Hillsborough disaster. I think this thread is in quite bad taste if I'm honest.
So you dont think the letter is there to look after Yernited image. Why not produce this letter last year , or the year before when United fans where singing " Murderers " and " Always the victim". Theres ONE difference, Hillsborough is under the media spotlight due to the sterling work done by the families and friends of the 96. If there wasnt that judgement a couple of weeks ago, Fergie wouldnt have wrote that letter, he realises Yernited fans cant sing the same songs they were singing 6 months ago, as it will damage there media image. Its the only reason the letter exists
The Kenny Dalglish column: Fergie was straight on the phone to offer his help after Hillsborough When the Hillsborough disaster happened back in 1989, Sir Alex Ferguson was straight on the phone to offer his help in any way he could. People out there have different opinions about him. Some love him, some hate him, but when something terrible happens, like *Hillsborough, Alex is one of the first asking what he can do. So although there is an intense rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool, it would never prevent Alex from offering his assistance, which is exactly what he did back then. Alex has called for United fans not to sing abusive songs tomorrow and Liverpool have done the same, with both clubs coming together to honour the memory of the 96 fans who lost their lives in Sheffield. Your King Disagrees with you!
This is a little bit harsh. Fergie can come across as a lot of things bad. But there is another side to him thats positive. He constantly encourages young bosses, and is always the one young managers phone up for advice and guidance. He did it himself when he was a young coach, so he knows that sometimes support is necessary. In 1989, he was one of the first to offer help to Kenny Dalglish during the aftermath of Hillsborough. From what I can remember he and the Everton manager, was it Howard Kendall or Colin Harvey? I'm unsure, but they were fantastic. He was also one of the first to visit Gerard Houllier in hospital when he was ill with heart trouble. On this occasion, I believe Fergie is being genuine.
As I said the other day this **** helps nobody Yeah Fergies a twat and a hypocrite (when viewed through our eyes) but ask yourself a couple of questions...if he'd been Liverpools manager for the last two decades would you worship the ground he walks on or think he's a twat? Would he be as succesful today as Surrey Utds manager had he not been driven by his absolute desire to overtake everything LFC? Yes I wish he'd written this letter many years ago and yes he has undoubtedly done it with one eye on what good PR it makes...but it was also brilliantly written and putting the vitriol to one side it was absolutely the right thing to do. That group of a few thousand Uniteds fans now have absolutely no excuse for spouting their bile and that can only be a good thing IMO.
I dont doubt that Fergie was 1st on the phone after Hillsborough But the point of the letter he wrote this week was there to look after Uniteds image, he knows that if United fans sing such songs 2moro there will be media uproar, this letter was written to deter United fans from singing them, not because they are totally in bad taste, they were totally in bad taste last year and year before.I was at Anfield for both cup game and PL game latest season when Yernited,THE ENTIRE END,joyfully chanted "the sun where right murderers", he didnt give a flyin f**k then,he didnt write a letter then, its now he chooses to write that letter, when the media is on OUR side after 23 yrs of injustice The letter is political move by Yernited its not been written because after years and years and years and years and years after there fans singing hate songs, 10 -15 yrs since lfc sung similar songs, its not because Yernited have suddenly grew a conscience
Fergie is a bitter old scroat, where his comments genuine? Does he have an ounce of humanity? Mmm, not convinced. His comments are prob some phychological mind-game to give United an edge.
For god sake man, show some common sense. In fairness to Fergie, he's trying his level best to do the decent thing.
No need purely. Watch as 99% of Liverpool fans ask 'why' in response to this thread and then Ze or Bow or another mod close it. We did all this last week.
Funny watching banned users argue OzzieAssiadi = KPR/SKD aka Slevin Bazza09 = Barrie Neville aka Bazray
Still a bitter old scroat. ^^This ain't Slevin UIR, no way he would have anything nice to say about United/Fergie.
No we dont , I never have, and I havnt seen it at the ground for 15 yrs, meanwhile Yernited fans have been singing such songs every match for the last 10 years The letter is a good thing,as it will probably stop songs like that ... at least for a while, but it was written predominantly to look after Yernited image, if you think otherwise you are very naive.
No it is. You see Baznev, every time he gets banned and comes back he tries so hard to make it less obvious but then he trips himself up so badly its impossible not to laugh. Swarbs confirmed it anyway.
