Manchester United to agree to DHL sponsorship Manchester United is allegedly set to agree on a four-year sponsorship contract with delivery company DHL, worth approximately GBP 40 million. The club has, through the deal, sold the rights to sponsor its training apparel to the company, and is the first Premier League club ever to do so purely for training wear. The agreement meanwhile is worth about half of the GBP 80 million sponsorship contract the Manchester United already enjoys with principal sponsor Aon Corp. This also follows reports last week that United plans an initial public offering in Singapore with a 30% stake reputedly being sold to help raise up to USD 1 billion for the club. Insiders also claim the club plans to announce soon another sponsorship deal with Malaysian snack-maker Mamee Double Decker's Mister Potato brand. The club's commercial revenue has surged to around GBP 100 million a year thanks to a series of sponsorship deals, which is equivalent to income from television and matches at the Old Trafford Stadium. Both Manchester United and DHL have currently declined to comment on the reported deal
"Mamee Double Decker's Mister Potato" Get this on the front of a shirt and I'd buy it Sure beats the Wellpark's brand of pish on all your kit
It's worth about three times Everton's, if I remember correctly. No wonder Moyes doesn't have any money to spend.
