Police probe Rangers fan's Twitter 'threat' to Stephen Thompson Police are investigating claims that Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson has been threatened by a Rangers fan on a social networking site. Mr Thompson is also alleged to have been subjected to sectarian comments and abusive remarks about his late father and predecessor, Eddie Thompson. It is understood Tayside Police visited the United chairman after concerns for his safety were raised. Rangers owe the Dundee club ticket money from a recent Scottish Cup tie. The debt from the game, which was played in Glasgow, is thought to amount to almost £100,000. However, Dundee United officials and fans are concerned the club will not receive the money after Rangers went into administration last week. Referring to the alleged Twitter threats, a spokeswoman for Tayside Police said: "We can confirm we are aware of the matter and are investigating it." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-17098737
Apparently, the Ayrshire bombers are starting their trial this week. Let's hope, if found guilty, they get lengthy prison sentences
I'll help you out. yes he did. via twitter. it was digusting and to think his "bio" was my kids are my life made me feel sorry for poor wee henrik and lubo junior
This, of course, makes death threats to "senior members of Celtic management" and Dundee United's chairman by 3 folk whitabootery-proof?
Well in that case he's an arsehole and deserves all he has coming unless of course Lafferty and the others brought it on themselves.
how? Dev commented that stephen thompson had been abused online by bigots I commented that rangers players had been abused online by bigots how is that ****e?
Did that guy warrant a thread on the Rangers board? Apparently, so. Should this then be three threads on the Celtic board?
what's venom's point more like. you were on your high horse and I took you down. http://www.celticnewsnow.com/news/Police-Arrest-41-Year-Old-In-Twitter-Abuse-Case/37535
Was I? I was not on any kind of horse nor was I on the "moral high ground", I was simply commenting on a topical News story that concerned Thomson. I passed no comment and likewise I neither condemned nor acted outraged at the story. What it has to do with the tale you mentioned I don't know. Both acts are to be condemned if true but one of these was only reported today while another (your one) has already been reported ( A MONTH AGO) and had a thread written about it, so is it to be cast up again every time someone allegedly receives threats from Rangers fans? If someone outwith the Gers fanbase threatens someone at Rangers in future should I just regurgitate this story to show that two wrongs do make a right?
Dev has just answered what my point was to Nev. I didn't feel the need to explain it as it was crystal ****ing clear to anyone with half a brain
If you're going to pretend you never took the moral high ground then there is no point in continuing the argument is there?
