Charles NâZogbia could be on the move again! The Aston Villa winger recently joined from Wigan but has not made the impact everyone expected at Villa Park and struggling Sunderland look set to bolster their slim attacking options by testing Villaâs nerve. Steve Bruce has been told by the board that he will have funds in January to improve his squad and he has set his sights on the French international. Reports suggest he is ready to place a £15 million bid on the table for the former Newcastle man. The 25 year old played under Bruce when the former Man United defender was in charge at the DW Stadium and is meant to be keeping a close eye on the situation. A source at Sunderland FC told the People: âSteve Bruce signed NâZogbia for Wigan and knows he can get the best out of him.â Sunderland have really struggled thus far and need to improve their attacking options in order to shoot up the table. Bruce signed eleven players during the summer but is yet to get the best out of his squad and he is looking for that quality in the final third. Villa signed the former Newcastle player for £9m in July and Sunderland must be willing to offer at least £15m to tempt them into selling.
If we pay 15m for him in Jan SB & ES will need the heads looking at We could have got him for 9m / 10m in the summer
I can't disagree with either of you. Steve Bruce said back in the summer and I quote "He's a bit rich for us" at £9m. Three months later he's allegedly willing to pay £15m
Although as I said , he's been **** this season and don't think even Bruce would be stupid enough to splash 15m on Insomnia.
Do you not think this is lazy journalism? I don't for one minute think this article is true. I can't believe ES would sanction that. The transfer window is looming and guess who we are linked with every transfer window?
Its taken 9 posts to go from a rumour, there will be many more, to how stuid Bruce is for paying 15mil. BTW dont forget the 10 mil we are paying for Johnson and the 18 for that Cisse chap.
I'd be surprised, he's just moved there, plus who says Brucie could be gone by then, especially if Sunderland lose the next 2 or 3 games.
This sounds like absolutely bollocks and the price would be ridiculous if it were true, but if it was the NUFC or Wigan version of N'zogbia you were getting it would probably be worth it, especially if Brucey Boy thinks he can get the best out of him, but after being 11 games into the season hes only just realised that he needs to play strikers in his team, so I dont see how he thinks he can get the best out of an underperforming whingy frenchman with an awful attitude.
