The monkeys have earned their dosh out of the hoops and have no intention of spending jack sh@t on players, I feel sorry for Warnock and his back room staff who have worked their socks off to get the R's to the premier league! all we'er Gonna get is freebees and old crocks....FACT!....HAD ENOUGH OF THESE ITALIAN SHAFTERS! Time to move on from this crap!
Not wishing to defend the Goons at all, how much money does any one think that they have made out of the club? If there is any, it will be far less than most think. I'm assuming that the £10 million loan will now be repaid out of the Sky money. The club has lost how much money over the last few seasons? Maybe some of that will be cleared. They must either be funding this or they are guaranteeing this debt. We have to look backwards here as well as forwards. They may not look so bad after the next set of accounts are released. I'm now going to hide behind my sofa to avoid any barrage of abuse.
Yes, the reason why they are holding out for £100m is that this will pay back what they have invested and return a tidy profit. At £30m plus the Prem money they may just get their money back but little else. That's was never the plan.
Thank you for your considered opinion. I'm certainly not defending it just trying to quantify it. Sometimes reading these messages you can get the impression that they are ripping millions upon millions out of the club. So far, that isn't the case.
Chaps, I'm hanging my hat on the fact that if Warnock was not getting the financial backing he deserved to buy players, he would walk - and straight into dozens of job offers. I reckon he's having to apply the same prudence as last year, albeit with more funds. Perhaps having the opportuntiy to spend relatively 'freely' is a new experience to him.
I agree with you RHQ Norfolk. NWis no mug, and I believe thatthe behnid the scenes schanigans are some of the reasons why Graham and CMS are going elsewhere. One other thing that readily cmes to mind is that NW stated along time ago that this time of year, agents and lazy journalists will be constructing stories to keep everyone interested. as so far as loans - I thought these were tied into company's owned by our owners. If they still wanted a piece of the pie then surely they would keep their shares in heir and sell of the rest? I cannot see how they value QPR at £100 mill - players probably worth £15 to £20, LR (do we own this - I know we used to?) £20 mill - profit if they were to walk with £70 to £75 mill i would be happy as it would mean a profit of estimated £30 mill. Thing is though - IF the Bernie and Flav show were to do what they initially set out to do, then the purse strings need to be loosened so tha we can attrack the players needed for the next level. And to also reconsider the charges for seating with no leg room
I agree with Rollercoaster Ranger in part! but always remember they own the the ground and by not paying off the loan they will always make a profit by selling if the club is on it`s last leg`s! |So it is a win-win thing? And again the club in time will near on £90,000,000 so where is that going??????? answers please? Unless there is a take over in the wind, we will have a great time for one season only, so injoy the trip!
I see Sunderland are paying £13m for Connor Wickam of Ipswich Town. Good player, but a bit overpriced imo. Ever dream about walking down a crowded street with everyone pointing at you, and you look down to find you're bollock naked? That's how I feel at the moment about QPR going into the new Prem season... I just hope we don't go for panic buys as 13 Aug approaches
