    Hey lads.

Is it just me or are none of you guys just a little worried about the players coming in.? The Swedish lad might be a future talent but right now will be playing his football in our reserves.ANd then reading up on the other 3 to sign on July 1st, they ain't exactly set the world on fire. None of which with a little premier league experience. Then reading threads about altidore (ex hull) really worried me. The lad is terrible. To be fair a the likes of Duncan and orban are good player. But if we are letting the likes of Ming, catts and sess ( reported) leave our club we need to replace some with prem experience. I go home and away following Sunderland and I want to see things work as much as the next fan but I'm not convinced so far.

Hopefully wrong in the new season but I'm not getting carried away or overly excited by the players we have been linked with.

i like the direction we are taking with our signings. all the lads coming in seem to be big, strong and quick and should stand up well to the physicality of the prem. premier league experiance is overated anyway, we have a squad full of premiership experiance and look what they have done for us. i think we just have to sit back, ebjoy the ride and hope this new approach works well for us.

I think there is a danger that Paulo's got a lower league mentality, but in truth obsession with physicality may not necessarily be a bad tact with the correct mix of natural ability. Cabral certainly is a good footballer.

It's going to be tough if you lose 3 of your best players, regardless. Sends out a message to players currently at the club and fans as well.

So exactly how much of Altidore have you seen in the last two years to rate him as terrible ???

Being over radical will not work. I like our new scouting/connections & transfer ins policy, but we need to keep the spine of our team which is our strength. Then build around that. Let the likes of Bramble go but Mig, Oshea, N'Diaye, sess & Fletcher should be wearing the shirt first game of the season. The new players need time to bed in.

Getting rid of Sess and Mig. Two players we brought in with no premier league experience.

We have tried premier league experience and it hasnt worked. We need to be looking for value as well as quality.

Just because you havent heard of them doesnt mean they are bad players.

our squad was paper thin anyway after mon moving on too many players. we have also let a few go when thier contracts finished so we need a **** load of players in before the window closes. i like the dof and scouting network idea and we seem to have fallen on our feet with the guys we have attracted. the only thing with nthem is they have come from italy so obviously know a lot more about players from over there. give them time to adapt and im sure they will have uk based targets

I rekon come the first game and esp. if we don't beat Fulham I will be very nervous with regards to the way we are going about our business.

This year is massive for us and if we get it right then I can see it being the start of something very good for the club the risk is if we do not get it right.

we could well have 15-16 new recruits come September obv. a few will be on the fringes likes Ba and Karlsson but we really do need 3 or 4 of them to be proven players weather it be proven in the prem or in one of the other top leagues in Europe esp. if we lose Sess

I thought Sess was starting to blossom under Paulo.

There's still 2 months to go on the transfer window fella, now is not the time to panic but to wait impatiently! Ha ha! In the mean time to comfort you, you should read up on the Udinese model to give you an idea of what's going to be happening at our club over the next 4 or 5 years. I know nothing about what's going on with all these unknown players. But reading up on Di fanti has really put my mind at rest.

yes it all feels a bit strange but big changes always do. You know what they say though, " if you're scared to lose sight of the shore you'll never discover new oceans".

Anyway it's not like we've gone into the last few seasons buzzing with confidence, I'm always crapping it before the first game.
One thing you can guarantee, if we get brighton away in the league cup, PDC wont play 4-6-0 like our former manager
and he wont waste 8 million on some unproven kid who's "one for the future".

The past has been a litany of disaster from Lillian laslandes to jon stead to danny graham...................I can't believe any of these new lads can be worse than them

I think we're all getting ahead of ourselves a little bit here lads, apart from Titus and killa we haven't got rid of anyone yet, Mig, Sess and Catts are all still Sunderland players and despite what ****e is spouted in the press, i've yet to see any acknowledgment from the club.

That's not saying it isn't going to happen but reading through some of the posts a lot of you have us down already. Whats' that all about?

Lack of PL experience is the biggest misnomer out there going.
