Roll up roll up it's the last game of this transitional season! 14th placed city take on relegated and bottom team Cardiff. A win for Norwich will see us consolidate a top half finish and boost our GD balance from its current +1. This is Wilshere's second game in charge and we will surely be looking for a win in front of the Carrow Road faithful. Norwich City's recent Championship form:L D L L L D Cardiff City's recent Championship form D D L L D D If Gunn plays, it will be his last game for us between the posts and appearances from Onel and Sorensen are also likely so that they too can bid farewell. Onel is moving on to set up an Argos Franchise in Cuba, and we wish him well. Sainz and Sargent were both named in the EFL team of the season - will this too be their last outings in the yella and green? OTBC Never Mind the Danger! Here's to a fantastic atmosphere at CR and us smashing in 5 or 6 to give us all a smile going into the summer months. We do have the fun and games next season of continuing our run against our dear neigbours. Cheers to all! China
There has been no mention anywhere of POTS that I have seen. Sarge, Sainz, Doyle and Fisher would be the main contenders I would suspect the first two have only played/performed for half a season, Doyle has gone off the boil (sorry) which leaves young Kellen. I have no clue this year.
Quality thread as usual buddy. It will be interesting to see what team we put out. I fancy a convincing win for us, and a growing majority in favour of JW becoming our new manager / coach.
Tried getting tickets as I haven't been to Carrow Road since pre season but no seats next together. A decent win to end the season on a positive hopefully
Squad update (RW/ST) Crnac - MAYBE - Ankle injury (W) Jurasek - OUT - still building fitness (CM) Marcondes - OUT - Back injury (RB) Fisher - OUT - Knee injury (GK) Mair - OUT - No timeline - Returned to the club after breaking his finger. (W) Springett - OUT - His season is over and I suspect he will be leaving in the Summer (CM) Forsyth - OUT - His season is over after having knee surgery - last option (W) Dobbin - OUT - His season is over after injuring the opposite calf for which he was withdrawn against Stoke (LB) Chrisene - OUT - His season is over after ankle injury sustained in the first challenge from Dennis vs Blackburn (LB) Mahovo - OUT - His season is over with the injury to his quad possibly requiring surgery
Not sure I share the same optimism of beating Cardiff with a fantastic performance, based off the back of a meh nil-nil with Boro. Given a normal season and the positions I'd expect we'd beat Cardiff at home, however this isn't a normal season, we're just as likely to win 4-1, as we are to draw 1-1. It's the end of the year, nothing to play for except perhaps Sainz & Sargent, although the former hasn't been on the boil for the last 4/5 months. Cardiff are just as likely to put in a performance to show they're capable for next year.
Yes, relegated teams often improve once their fate is sealed and they start playing with more freedom. The Wilshere/Ramsey angle will also put a bit of extra pep into Cardiff. As usual in this type of match-up, the first goal will likely swing it.
Poor start, looking poor at the back. Gunn keeps us all square with a good save Edit, Gunn saves us again
