WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY Norwich manager Alex Neil: "The odds are stacked against us, but if it comes down to one match then anything can happen. We need to win..."We need to keep believing and carry the fight. We're focused and still in with a chance, so we need to give ourselves a shot." Watford head coach Quique Sanchez Flores: "I don't like to play against Norwich and Sunderland because they are fighting against relegation and it's always very sad, but in this case we are the bad boy in the film. This is our role and we need to play it. "For us it will be important to go to the pitch with the idea to play well, to think about how we can stop Norwich, to play football and to score goals. Our responsibility is to win and to choose the best team." MATCH FACTS Head-to-head Watford have won on four of their last six league visits to Carrow Road, losing the other two. Flores had a free hit at Liverpool and didn't use the opportunity, now when we have our last 2 games against teams fighting relgation I read he says he will experiment. I wait with bated breath for the teamsheet tomorrow.
They are desperate, we are not, therefore a scrappy 1-0 to Norwich. Unfortunately for them it will not save them from the drop as Sunderland will win against Everton. A draw with Sunderland on Saturday as both teams will be safe.
Sorry Dave, we need to put you guys out of your misery so you can prepare for life in the championship. If you can forget the finances you will probably have a more enjoyable season watching championship football next season, hope you come up to join us again.
Flores has already hinted he won't change his playing style or use players that he should be using just coz everyone else wants him to so we will set up defensively for the first half and when we are 2-0 down he'll think about attacking in the second! Norwich will throw the kitchen sink at us and i have a bad feeling that we are going to leave the plug out and let the goals flood in! Still, having said that, my heart says keep the faith, so i'm going for a 1-3, simply because we could do that if we could find shooting boots/played offensively! Sorry Dave! x
Surely there will be some changes given we played on Sunday. Probably just switch the full backs (and not play one of Britos/Prodl/Cathcart)
Sorry Woody, but I hope we smash them. Never forgiven then for charging over £40 when we played them in the Championship...I am going for a 2-1 Watford win as H has stolen my usual.
Well Mr Canary Man, we may not have been the best of friends but I do hope somehow Norwich survive....even if they have to thrash Watford tonight ! Good to see Mexican and Wear(ing) Yellow still showing class.
Apparently Flores said on Sky the players were tired and just looking forward to the season ending...probably a natural reaction but might not go down well with those going tonight!
Good reason to play the fringe players and young players that haven't been playing so much and therefore aren't so tired. Oh wait....
I am expecting a rather limp display from us tonight. Think that Bassong might help us out as he seems to be all at sea, but Norwich will certainly have a go. Of the two I would prefer to lose Sunderland from the PL, but I think they will survive.
A win tonight confirms we'll finish as the highest promoted team. Realistically, a draw would also be enough given how much better our GD is.
Gomes (GK); Nyom, Britos, Cathcart, Anya; Abdi, Suarez, Watson, Jurado; Deeney (c), Ighalo subs Pantilimon (GK), Prödl, Paredes, Ake, Guedioura, Berghuis, Amrabat. So much for cutting loose...
I guess it is only fair against Sunderland to play the same team too. Maybe QSF is just proving a point before he leaves. However, if we played "the kids" against one and not the other might not be fair and Norwich or Sunderland would have right to kick up a fuss with so much at stake. On a different note, I hope Ighalo can net again today, signs of back to half decent form with him recently. Nick, you have NO idea how much I want Norwich to go down....
