'Once more unto the breach dear friends, once more. Or close the goal mouth up with our players injured.' -William Shakespeare (good playwright/terrible football manager) Proper content to follow.
I only just caught up with the other threads. I hope to be Prince Charles waiting forever in the wings for a corination to MDT king with Bengaluru reigning supreme undefeated to the end of the season. But with all these injuries, I'll sharpen my pencil ready for next Wednesday and Forest. Bah!
Excellent thread bengaluru. I pass the baton on,and hope you eclipse my time as thread leader Just noticed, has the date and ko time changed?
What is DF going to do about countering the threat from the flanks which has proved our undoing in the last two games? Wednesday under Pulis defend in numbers and counter-attack down the flanks, particularly the right flank, which is our weakest. Assuming Pukki is back, I can see us falling into the same old trap, becoming frustrated at not getting through the centre of a packed defence, over-committing numbers to the offensive cause, and conceding from a counter. In the time honoured phrase, I hope I'm wrong.
Cheers, and yes its normal time, i'd put the KO time for India instead! As for getting the date wrong as well, i think that was due to the gin. On a side note, on Sunday my local team Bengaluru FC are playing Kerala Blasters who have just got a shiny new CF. And who is this new aquisition with a 88 on his back you ask? Why its Gary Hooper! Only wish i was able to go to the game and give him a one man rendition of kick if off.
Cantwell, Dowell and Hugill back in training from Sunday onwards. Pukki available for Sheffield Wednesday game. That leaves eight: Krul, Byram, Quintilla (mystery injury) Mumba, McClean, Hernandez, Idah and Rupp. Any updates on these?
Of those 8 mentioned above as still being injured, only Krul, Byram or Quintilla and Rupp would probably get into starting eleven. Sorensen has been a very good cover option at LB.
I don’t want to be harsh on Sorensen because it’s a totally unfair position, but I honestly think we’ve struggled as a result of him there. He looks like he has a great eye for a pass and will be a really important player for us in midfield, but I’m not convinced he’s a left back
I assumed this was way before Pukki was pronounced fit - but the tweet is only one hour old?? This person wants more of the same!
Villarreal seemed happy with whatever was wrong with Quintilla. He's in isolation after traveling back, and should be back into training after that. Not sure what his fitness will be like.
