Norwich take on Luton on Saturday afternoon at home after an absolute spanking of Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night. Luton were brushed aside by Leeds, losing 3-0 away at Elland Road. This looks like it could be the return for Nunez, albeit from the bench. Mclean demonstrated what we'd been missing on Tuesday and fingers crossed for another Sainz masterclass on Saturday afternoon. Johannes Hoff Thorup confirmed that Liam Gibbs will be out for up to 10 weeks, following his injury picked up on Tuesday night's fixture against Plymouth. "We did a scan today and it is an injury just like what he had last time (hamstring). Unfortunately, I think we are looking at up to 10 weeks. Not what we wanted
That's a big blow for Gibbs but at least Núñez can take his place on the bench, having trained all week. Córdoba might also make the bench, but if not he'll be available for QPR and of course Fisher is back after his suspension. Barnes back is also a plus as we head into the Christmas crush of games.
Squad update **UPDATE** McLean - 1 yellow card away from another game ban Fisher - BACK - After serving a 1 game ban for accumulating 5 yellow cards Nunez - BACK - Has trained well this week, JHT hoping to limit risks with him, so maybe on the bench. Cordoba - BACK - Has trained well this week, JHT hoping to limit risks with him, so maybe on the bench. Forsyth – OUT - knee - 3-4 more weeks out Sargent - OUT - Had surgery – 5 more weeks out Gibbs - OUT - 10 weeks with a reoccurrence of the hamstring issue that took him out from the start of the season
Great to see Nunez and Cordoba almost fit, hopefully they can get a few minutes. Off the top of your head, how many matches until McClean’s yellow cards are reset? Is it until the 20th game? (Ie three more including this one).
I was shouting at what I thought was a wasteful ball from Duffy, credit to Stacey for not giving that up!
Keep losing my stream, but everytime it comes back, we have scored. Missed both our goals, but I'll take that. Audio is terrible, keeps breaking up
