I know it's early but hey ho and I know this will be a Norwich City orientated thread but ah well. Harder than I think most of our fans will think. We're bound to drop a few points somewhere after 2 league wins on the bounce and the cup win, be it at Norwich or Sunderland at Goodison on Monday. Not sure how Moyes will play this as he fielded a strong team the weekend before the Sunderland game yet said he would like to have made more changes against Liverpool if we could go back to that game. Having said that I think he will go strongish. -------------------Howard------------------- ---Neville-----Heitinga------Distin----Baines--- -------------Fellaini-------Gibson------------- -----Gueye----------Cahill -------Pienaar----- -------------------Jelavic-------------------- Heitinga and Distin will be the partnership going off the last couple off weeks... Heitinga dropped against Swansea, Distin dropped against West Brom so I assume it is Jags time to sit on the bench. Gueye and Osman will be swapped round for the next two games as well I think, Osman went off as a precaution at the weekend so maybe he'll play in the Sunderland game. Maybe Anichebe will get a start in one of the games as well. What do you lads think about the game?
I just hope we win at all costs, sorry but I can't stand Everton. Not that I bear a grudge, but I'll never forgive them for 1985 !
Last match of the season, they had already won the championship, they put out a weak team against Coventry who beat them, meaning Coventry were saved and Norwich were relegated!
kickitoff was on night out in Liverpool, when the Everton first team arrived in the same bar. Gary Linekar looked him in the eye and said - "Listen here you, mark my words, one day Norwich will be in the third tier of English football and lose 7-1 to Col..." Kickitoff punched him in the face, and therefore never heard the end of his prophecy. A decision he regrets to this day. InLinekarWeTrust.
Kickitoff told me he picked up "the boy lynacre" by his ears, not punching him, and Flaps of the Day was born.
Don't know why any of your fans think this would be easy? We drew at your place, we're in similar league positions and it is away from home for you lot.
Just because of the run we're on mate, nothing against your club. In our last three games: Beat Swansea away 2-0 convincingly Beat Sunderland away 2-0 convincingly Beat West Brom home 2-0 convincingly In the semi final of the cup, confidence is up after beating Chelsea, spurs and Tottenham in 2012 as well as those results. Pienaar has been brilliant. Gibson has played 9 and lost 0, Fellaini also playing fantastic and Jelavic doing well too.
Will Everton throw this game to focus on the cup like they did they Mersey Derby? Got a lot of time for Moyes and Everton, Think City will win this though.
I don't think we'll throw it no, We didn't throw the Swansea game 3 days before the cup game against Sunderland. We might 'throw' the game against Sunderland in the league on Monday though.
David Moyes is a legend in my eyes! When he played as a centre back for Cambridge Utd in the mid 80s, he took a group of us kids for football training after school. If it wasn't for Moyes I wouldn't have completed my Coca-Cola Soccer Skills Gold Badge!
I must have been about 16 when Moyes was playing for Cambridge Utd. I used to watch them back in the days when they were in the old second division when they had George Riley up front and John Beck! I used to watch them when Town were playing away from home. Those were the days!
Back to the O/P I can't see you getting anything from Everton even if they are playing you on the Carrot patch! That is based on what I have seen of Everton recently.
i personally feel its got score draw written all over it. everton are in a fine run of form but we don't lose often at home. apart from the early west brom defeat, we've only been beaten by arsenal, tottenham and manchester united and we should have at least drawn that one (probably should have won really). 2-2 i reckon, especially with holt returning. we should have won the game up at goodison earlier this season - everton created a few chances but i never felt they were going to score. everton are a different proposition now of course but they are not world beaters either. fixture congestion may play a part too. looking forward to seeing jelavic but especially pienaar - cracking player
I think we will make things sticky for them. I think their defence is brittle and Fox's skill will chew them up and Wer thers a chance of a goal, Holt will Poppet in.
I can't believe some of you lot still hold a grudge over something that happened 27 years ago! Teams get relegated based on their results over the whole season and not based on just one match
