A pointless game in many ways. Our resident train export Elfsborg Cheesewright aka @baraettmattesvensson should be able to confirm that it is not do-able by train this evening, meaning that our support up there is likely to be small. A good chance for Roland's next tranche of Academy sales to show what they can do. I am assuming that Phillips, Djiksteel, Charles-Cook, Hackett-Fairchild, Konsa and Aribo will get an extended run out tonight.
The last train leaves at 22.00 so you are snookered if the game goes to extra-time. I imagine that as Mr van Gerwen is on a break from tournaments he will be able to attend today and just stay overnight.
Anyone else rewatching last nights Game of Thrones because it was so EPIC, it deserves a second viewing, instead of following the Charlton vs Norwich scores come in?
Nope. I'm going to Orpington Liberal Club. OPen -mike, local real ale £3 a pint. Conservative clubs have the best snooker tables, Libs have the music and beer.
Robinson said after Saturday's game that they would start. I agree with you Royston, I would have played a full reserve side.
I would love to see us draw Wrexham in the 1st round of the FA Cup this season. It would be Reams' first home game in 20 years.
Live updates suggest Norwich are piling on the pressure... EDIT: Norwich 2-1 up now, a brace from Josh Murphy (52 minutes)
Ouch. I know it's only the League Cup, but nobody likes a 4-1 thumping. Commiserations to the Charlton fans trekking back to London now. I hope KR does not just dismiss this result, but takes another look at strengthening our squad. It is very late in the day, but not quite too late.
The scouser is being quoted as saying he is happy the experience the youngsters got last night. Last night told me that the squad is woefully thin and needs strengthening.
How do you join these social or working mans clubs? They got one in the little village that I moved to at its really cheap beer/booze... Plus the weekender Londoners who travel up to experience the country life for a day cannot come in.
You have to get proposed and seconded then it goes to committee. Then you get the "You can't sit there, that's Eric's seat and he's due in in 5 minutes". Club drinkers are a different from pub drinkers. One Irishman told me that he saved £90 a week drinking in Deptford CIU club, and that was 40 years ago.
