Team News Tettey & Klose out for next 2 weeks https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2019/january/team-news-birmingham-city/
So, if Godfrey replaces Klose at CB, who will be in at defensive midfield for AT? Tybull? Probably too soon for Thompson to start a game. Can Zimm or Hanley play left-side CB?
Sky preview. Norwich will be without midfielder Alex Tettey and defender Timm Klose for the Sky Bet Championship match against Birmingham on Friday night. Tettey is set to miss at least three weeks with an abductor muscle strain, while Klose has flown to Switzerland to see a specialist about a knee problem which could require surgery. Captain Grant Hanley is available again following a one-match ban, while Marco Stiepermann (thigh) has resumed training so could be involved. Midfielder Moritz Leitner (ankle) continues his rehabilitation, along with striker Carlton Morris (knee). Winger Ben Marshall has joined Millwall on loan, while defender Ivo Pinto is back at the club after a proposed transfer to a club in Turkey fell through. Birmingham boss Garry Monk will not take any risks with forward Isaac Vassell after his return to action. Vassell made a first appearance after 14 months out with a serious knee injury and then a hip problem when he came on for the closing stages of last weekend's home defeat by Middlesbrough, so should be in the squad again. Omar Bogle (calf) continues his recovery, along with midfielder David Davis (ankle) and centre-half Marc Roberts (calf). Defender Steve Seddon, 21, has joined AFC Wimbledon on loan until the end of the season.
Ughhh - no Klose or Tettey is a loss but all these games without Leitner seems to be our biggest miss. We've not played our best without him. Wishing him a speedy return. 2-0 Norwich
DF's match preview - “They have a narrow shape and big threats in the offence. When you have Jota and (Jacques) Maghoma and strikers like (Che) Adams with 13 goals and (Lukas) Jutkiewicz with 10 then you have players on the pitch who can create some really good moments. We have to be awake." “It will be important we control the ball, and the counters. We also have to be patient. Leeds lost against Birmingham. I am pretty sure they were prepared because they analysed their last 50 games or something but it shows how tough it can be against them.”
Birmingham are poor in possession but great in the air. Two great Attackers, who worry me. Very good tall Centre Backs. Good delivery and creativity from Jota. Sounds like we might have large period of play trying to break them down, and they will look to counter and play for set pieces. We know how vulnerable we are from second ball on Set-Plays. Must win game, feeling nervous already.
