Full credit to Norwich they derserved a point they were well orginised unit and showed good play on the counter attack. Also what Norwich did well was force Chelsea out wide because they knew we didn't have a centre forward on form who woudn't attack crosses. And their strike force Holt and Morrison showed great link up play. Norwich goalkeeper Ruddy had a good game making top shot stop saves from Chelsea's Torres and Mata. Chelsea's attacking passage of play was good but when you don't have an on form striker it makes things even more difficult. If this Chelsea performance doesn't convince AVB to spend this window then I don't know what will. Good thing is that even if Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool win they will still be behind Chelsea.
Cheers mate, it's hard to put in to words just how proud I feel tonight having watched what was probably our best defensive performance of the season. PL got the tactics totally right today, as you say to force Chelsea wide and hoping we could hit you on the break, although we never looked like scoring today. As for Chelsea - still a very, very good team and very hard to beat (home or away).
Trust Ruddy to save his best performance until I was too ill to watch! I only managed a few snatches of the first half today, now I'm going to tackle a very large malt!
Like that will be anything different btw Dave, well called on the half time clean sheet - I take it back
Totally agree with you Thai, defence was virtually faultless!!!! Ruddy had everything covered. I am also very proud, first clean sheet, against a top side and the Mexican commentators speak very highly of Norwich. Infact rave about the speed of our counter attack and the way Holt and Morrison link up. Although Chelsea had a lot of possesion I don't think they looked so much better than us. have to go into Wednesdays game with a lot of confidence.
Only edited that sentance because I didn't word it correctly. It was supposed to say if Liverpool win today and Arsenal win.
