I'm thinking of taking a weeks break and am interested in going to Northern Ireland. It's called Northern Ireland but it is part of Britain is it not? Where are the best places to go to visit? I'm an agnostic so I am neither kafflik nor proddy. Are there any parts that I should avoid or will I be okay as I am not religious. I believe they have have had some problems in the past with this sort of thing.
No, not really, if it was you would be able to walk to England, Scotland or Wales. It's part of Ireland.
I cant really recommend northern ireland as a holiday destination although I do believe they have some excellent traditional foods on offer for the discerning palate, once you arrive ask a local for directions to the shankhill butchers.
It's like a wee Glasgow. I'm not on the wind up either, when I visit Glasgow it feels like a big version of Belfast.
ER Belfast is a great city. People are fantastic to outsiders, we just have a problem with each other. I have not spoke to anyone who visited Belfast who didn't say how surprised they were at how good they found it. Make your way to the Antrim Glens; about 40 mins fron Belfast, the most beautiful place in the world.
They were pleasantly surprised as they expected a **** hole and probably stayed within the confines of the City Centre, which is not a **** hole. I do like the Antrim Glens mind.
Had some good craic with the locals at Belfast Airport. We didny have time to go into the city before our connecting flight unfortunately. Would like to have seen it.
