First of all it was a fantastic goal. Great achievement for Lockyer who had another good game, and it was a great move down the left and a perfect cross by Brown.

I don't think anyone had a bad game. Harrold played alright after coming on, though shame about Brunt, hope he's ok for City. Clarkson had a very good game and linked the play well, while Harrison's decision making was a lot better, with 1 or 2 exceptions.

Defending overall was very solid, McChrystal in particular was excellent. Mildenhall did everything well when called upon, although Northampton were restricted to few chances. It's not often that we score very early and hold on for the rest of the game!

With Platt up front Northampton were always going to play direct tactics, and we coped very well with that, and the odd long throw. The sending off was completely stupid. Why do that on a yellow card?

That was one of very few good pieces of refereeing. Brunt especially was given physical treatment by the Northampton defence and nothing was given on any of those occasions. What was he watching? The bald lino wasn't any better.

All in all a good day, with the only negative being CJS just edging on the attendance game.<laugh>

I can't complain really, full commitment from all the lads and I'd have snapped your hand off if offered a 1-0 win. Only trouble is scoring after 2mins leaves me in a state of panic for the remaining 88mins. Not good for the stress levels but a massive relief when the final whistle blows. It's no wonder I down at least 6 pints before each game.

were improving all the time. even the atmosphere in the blackthorn end was on form today. lockyer got man of the match and he deserved it. he should have got it last week too. great prospect he is. but where do we play him. he can do the job at CB and CM and now out wide RW out performing the rest of the team! i say leave him RW!
we didnt look like conceding today apart from the last 5 mins and added time. i was very nervous at the end while we were non stop defending. but we held out. that would give the players confidence.

great to get the 3 points, 2 wins on the bounce will hopefully set us on a good run regardless of what happens in the jpt.

    did i win?? AGAIN???? <whistle>
