Northampton's attempts to bring in Chelsea youngster Aziz Deen Conteh on a season-long loan could be in jeopardy after the change of management at Stamford Bridge, reports the Northampton Chronicle and Echo. The potential deal could be scuppered by the arrival of Portuguese coach Andre Villas-Boas, who may not be prepared to let the long-term Cobblers target go out on loan. That leaves manager Gary Johnson facing a second blow in quick succession after Stockport pulled out of a deal that would have brough midfielder Paul Turnbull to Sixfields. Left-back Deen Conteh is fourth in the pecking at Stamford Bridge, behind Ashley Cole, Patrick van Aanholt and Ryan Bertrand, so a move is not yet out of the question.
