Just the 8 of us on a N/W tour taking in Old Trafford and Wigan Pier in a couple of weeks. Been looking forward to it since the fixture list was published. The Lancashire Dales, beer at £2 a pint and the knowledge of places to eat to wet any metropolitan appetite. Now the thought of not following Nigel's team seems strangely unreal. When you have a ticket(s) for any other entertainment you accept that the cast will only be changed due to sickness or personal circumstances. Not that the director will be changed at the whim of the owners lap dog. How naive of us all to have imagined that stability underpins 'long term' (Mr Cortese's words) development.
