just a thought but with so many lower league clubs including ours losing vast amounts of money every year has the time now come to bring back the old northern and southern divisions .apart from a couple of exceptions northern teams in our division bring very few fans down south and visa versa.surely in these hard times and rising ticket prices and cost of travel to away games it makes sense for lower division clubs to play more local games where rivalry brings more fans through the gate.It seems stupid to make teams travel 400 mile round trips especially on tuesday nights when most fans cant get off work early to go to the game and those that do end up getting home at silly oclock and have work the next day.Quite how the football league could make this happen i am not sure, maybe phase it in somehow over a five year period.there would still be play offs but it would end up being a north v south final at wembley.I know there are a lot of complications involved but it would surely help in the survival of the smaller clubs which is what we all want.well what do you blues fans think ?

for us, "northern" journeys such as burton, port vale and even Northampton town are a damn sight closer than going down to Exeter etc and we bring much bigger away crowds. from our position we will take just as few on the extreme journeys south as we will the extreme journeys north. perhaps id have a different opinion if I supported torquay or Hartlepool, but id keep it

Difficult one Rocky due to where teams are located. What would be ideal (in my opinion) but will never happen, is that all gates proceeds went into a central pool and then distributed fairly across the board to assist with travel (and other) costs for the lower league sides. Basically the lower leagues being partly subsidised by the higher leagues.

You only have to look at the Blue Sq North & South to see it does not work very well this is organised on a Lat or Longitude which ever is the the one going north & you have teams like Bishop Stortford, Oxford City & Gloucester travelling to Workington, Bradford P A & Halifax. It must have been awful the travelling with the postponements they must have had this year.

Is there no insurance provided by the FA for losses due to postponements?
