Hull FC say they've been informed by the SMC that the North Stand at the KC will be closed from 2016 due to cost cutting measures.
I'v e no idea who is in there. Is it away fans? If they're only getting 11000 then it makes sense to shut it. They could shut the East as well couldnt they?
I don't think it should be much of a surprise to them. They were discussing the probability a fair bit last season.
More the Club I'd say , Rugby League in general is healthy , and the new structure is breathing new life into the game, attendances are up overall , I think its just years of under achieving that is costing FC with bums on seats
Neither Since the move to the KC Hull's average crowd would have always fit into the West, East and South stands, originally the away fans were put in the North stand because thats how it was set up for the football. Now common sense has finally prevailed and they've seen that its pointless opening the entire stand for 150 Huddersfield fans or whatever it may be. Its been welcomed by most FC fans, they think packing the east stand and having the away fans close will improve the atmosphere, I think they're right as well.
At their absolute peak Hull FC's crowds would have fit into the three stands, its nothing to do with the decline in attendances, its a practical move that should have been done years ago.
It seems FC are not alone, following our 30% drop in season ticket sales, the West Upper may also be closed for our games.
From needing to extend the stadium to talk of shutting sections of it, time to update that CV Assad...
In a poorly managed sneering manner, making you feel like you are complete inconvenience, and with very little notice ...like normal
News you will not see headlined in the local media......unless it was being shut in this 'rugby league capital' for a football match......like the story of a Hull player up for biting in the derby game against Rovers, again hardly a peep on any of the local sports media news broadcasts, and the RL investigation into the pitch invasion by FC fans at the same derby, not newsworthy.......unless it had of happened at a City game.
If they stopped giving free tickets away for the rugby you could sit all the paying supporters in E6 and close the rest of the ground.
