North East fanbase

    Geographically, does Newcastle have a much bigger fanbase than us or just slightly more? If we were good, which areas are potential SAFC hotbeds?

    They have all of Northumberland, over to Cumbria and co Durham so yes

    they have a massive area compared to us and due to the '92/keegoon era' grabbed a load more plastics from the durham side...

    Was in Turkey a few weeks back, saw one with full kit, socks the lot. Has to be a virgin.

    Big pockets of SAFC support in Northumberland.

    Given what we have had to endure for 60 years whilst the mags nearly won the premiership and had major investment its a miracle the support we have.

    If ever we get it right on the pitch its unknown how big this club could become.

    A top 7 premier finish and the SOL was a 48,000 lockout. A challenge for the new owners (?) is tapping the potential.
