Lets applaud laudrup this week for returning to the football that we all admire and do best.....Ok we only drew the game but we were by far the better team that deserved to win but an uncharacteristic bloomer by vorm gifted reading a goal against the run of play....I must give laudrup credit also for doing something that Rodgers would never do and that was replace danny with moore as its not Danny's season so far and he needs time on the bench to get himself focust for the future and didn't Moore show what a good player he is with a fantastic performance......Leon shone in the midfield at last and the passing was great and it was pleasing to the eye, For the first time in ages i was confident that we were still in the game even though we were 2-0 down.....This type of football will see us shine this season and i hope now that laudrup will forget his changes and game plan and continue to do what we do best....so credit where credit is due laudrup got it right and normal service resumes....

there was a massive change in the way we played yesterday to the way we played the last 4 games. The players were passing the ball with confidence for a start and the triangles were in evidence again. Maybe you cant read the game like me norway as i am very good at it with my long association watching the swans. the football was fluent and we did not deserve to be 2 nil down, the past 4 games there was no shape to the team and to come back from 2-0 to draw or win would not happen. But yesterday you could see the confidence in the players as they never once lost their shape or panicked and carried on doing what they know best and even the fans around me were saying that we can still win this and we nearly did......so to say we never saw any change in the way we played then i beg to differ....

Just stop and think. Uncharacteristic mistakes from Vorm and Williams have literally cost us four points; points which we thoroughly deserved on our team play. Add those four points to our current total and we would be looking pretty sound in the table.

Laudrup did NOT return to the football we used to play at all. He has always advocated playing football this way because that is precisely the reason he joined us. The truth is that the team, for a number of reasons which we have discussed on other threads, have not executed his much needed changes consistently enough and individual errors have cost us dearly.

It came together yesterday and Reading were lucky not have been on the end of a right good hiding.

did you not see the difference in our passing ivor because all around where i was sitting did. the triangle system was there yesterday something that had been missing for a while that some even mentioned in previous threads.....so that would suggest that we did play a more akin style of football that we are use too and not the rubbish we have played in the last few games and if you are observant then you could plainly see we were back to playing the game that has stood us in good stead.......

As usual grasping for positives, will never admit anything negative.

Contrast with ML who is grounded in reality.

I'm trying to work out what I've done wrong here.

Dai, I think quite a few people on here are waiting to hear what you've got to say about what Liverpool's MD Ian Ayre said on screen on Friday about the Joe Allen transfer.

Will someone correct me if I've got that wrong please.

Dai, it's not down to us mods to make people debate.

You do have a nasty habit of posting facts, but when someone else posts one, you ridicule it, or come back with FACTS as you call it.

I like what you post most of the time fella, but a few of your posts are ridiculous, hence the backlash from time to time.

If you feel offended, please point out the post to us and we will remove it, that I can asure you.

Apart from the two they scored and the one cleared off the line, they didn't threaten much. We were unlucky to be two down against the run of play but their keeper had a stormer.
They shouldn't beat you by much :D

looks like dai is the next one to be hounded off our board. seems like a good thread to me with some valid points but rather than debate its worth it gets ridiculed along with the poster. i too thought we played more like we did last season apart from vorm punting the ball upfield and handing readin possession wich gifted them the first goal. maybe ml realizes this is not spain and every team does not play tiki taki , they play a more direct game witch makes his style more vunerable to the counter attack. if so then i applaud him for having the insight and changing things the mark of a good manager in my book.

ps dont leave dai as i for one enjoy your posts dont let the brown tea towel holders get to you. if they pick on you again ill let their ****ing tyres down. ;)
