We can't play Tiote. If he gets suspended and we have a bad start to the season and end up going down by a point this decision would almost certainly have made the difference. Just stomach finishing 13th if we have to. When we look back at this season we'll remember it for all the great matches, not where we finished in the league.

yeah, but you'd think they would have been spouting stuff about him being injured though. Just as 'theres no smoke without fire' (except smoke machines) you dont have a hip op without some sort of injury problem

Ive heard a lot of people mentioning that Alan Smith is back in full training and could play a part, they just didnt want to risk him until next season.

With that in mind considering how every manager we have seems to bot Smith I reckon we'll play:

Seeing Smith in the team makes me feel sick but we are completely out of options, Guthrie is injured, I'd rather we have Tiote available for next season and I cant see him letting any of the youth have a go for some reason, I would like to see Vuckic personally.

KEVIN NOLAN is understood to be out of the final two games of the season for Newcastle United.

The inspirational Toon captain is set to undergo a small operation on an ankle knock which will rule him out of the game at Chelsea and the final home game of the season against West Brom.

The player of the season candidate is expected to be back for the first day of pre-season training and will be ready for the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Nolan has scored 12 goals this season for the Magpies.

I'd prefer to see a midfield of Ferguson on the left, Barton in the centre with Jonas or R Taylor. Jonas and Taylor can both go out on the right or in the centre.

Be interesting to have Barton as DFM controlling the play with Ferguson, Jonas (make runs from Midfield) and Raylor all going forward.

 

I'm almost certain the midfield will be: Raylor Barton Smith Jonas

Guthrie, Nolan, HBA, Gosling all out, and we arent going to throw Richardson or Ferguson in unless absolutely necessary. Lua Lua might be available though.
